Kinda creepy there are so many. I really associated a lot of those voices with males. @_@
By the way, My So-Called Love Life, by Allie Plieter, is a Christian romance about a woman who's the voice actor on a (pretend) popular American cartoon... who can't seem to find a date once a guy knows her job description. It was a pretty O.K. book (with humorous bits), and it was put up for some kind of award. (The Rita, although it didn't win.) This thread made me think of the book, but I don't believe she played a young male role in the cartoon.

I can't believe this wasn't mentioned yet. Kenshin's voice in Rurouni Kenshin for the subtitled version is done by a lady.

It could be because no-one was aware of it before you mentioned it.
Which reminds me:As there ever been an anime where the opposite has occured,where a girl has been played by a boy?I know it's not likely to have happened but if it has can anyone think of an example.

Episode 9 in Full Metal Alchemist has a boy named Kyle voiced by Meredith McCoy.

Steamboy: The main character, Ray Steam, voiced by Anna Paquin. Not only does he sound like a "he," he also sounds legitimately British. The behind-the-scenes re-voicing featurette is a little eerie. (Until I saw this movie, I had never considered the gender-crossing voice acting.)

Goku in Dragonball was played by Safferon Henderson and Stephanie Nadolny.Also,Laura Bailey plays Shin chan in Crayon Shin chan and chibi Trunks in DBZ.

I knew I recognized Shin's voice from somewhere! Once again, I'm in awe as how Laura Bailey can convert from sweet, innocent, ::coughs:: Saucer eyed ::coughs:: Tohru Honda in Fruits Basket to Shin-chan!

there's Junko Takeuchi, the japanese voice of Naruto, Takuya (Digimon Frontier) and Mokuba (Yugioh)
I think the scariest example of this would be Masako Nozawa. she was the japanese voice of Goku (through the WHOLE series), Gohan, and Goten, and Masamune (Morrison) in the japanese version of Pokemon AG. And she's 71!!
