Crossovers?

Postby Aleolus » Mon Jul 23, 2007 12:50 pm

OK, what series do you think it would be interesting to see do an official crossover, where characters from one started actually interacting with characters from another. Now, obviously, this would be non-cannon stuff, fillers and the like, but I think it would still be interesting.
Personally, I think an InuYasha/Naruto crossover would prove hilarious. Imagine the two of them (InuYasha and Naruto) getting into a fight! InuYasha/Bleach also has potential, as does Bleach/Venus Versus Virus.

Comic Party <> Martian Successor Nadesico
They fit together so well, it's scary. Nadescico is the first series I've seen with so many inside anime and manga in-jokes. And a few of the Comic Party characters look surprisingly similar...

Uh...I don't know if this really counts, but I'd like to see Transformers in a Super Robot Wars game. Super Robot Wars is pretty much the biggest crossover ever.

Steamboy <> Fullmetal Alchemist

... I don't like FMA, mentioned above, but it would be fun to have a magic/bad technology/good technology showdown. Heh heh...

Silent Mobius/Bubblegum Crisis would be a fun one to see.
Dual/Tenchi or Dual/Evangelion would be great(Since Dual and Tenchi
are from the same people it be doable plus some characters from
Tenchi ARE given cameos in Dual though not an official crossover)
Dual and Evangelion just 'cause it be fun to see how Kazuki would handle
Asuka!
As far as Inuyasha goes,I found this at We-Love-Anime's Case Closed

Heh heh. :P
Gundam Wing and Transformers. XD
Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop. XD Two completely different time periods, but it'd be cool to see Mugen deal with Spike. :P Same voice actor too.

Megaman and AstroBoy too.

c'mon guys, surely we can think of something better than narutoxbleach, that has got to be utterly predictable.

how about BerserkxClaymore, that sounds like boatloads of bloody fun :thumb:

Or what about Honey & Clover x Nodame Cantabile?

Ghost in the Shell meets Gunslinger Girl? Or how about Motoko has a run in with Lain over cyber-space?

Darker than Black gets burnt to a crisp by Witch Hunter Robin?

someone else please pick up the creative torch

I lack any creativity on this front, but a good friend of mine actually toyed with this idea. I can't take credit for these though, they're his work:

FullMetal Kenshin...
Plot Summary...
Kenshin Himura was once a legendary assassin known across the land. Though small in stature and young in age, the man's skill with alchemy was second to none and his services were sought after far and wide. One day in a terrible accident he kills his wife Tomoe. Vowing to bring her back to life, Kenshin digs into alchemy's forbidden realm. All was for naught, because in trying to bring his beloved back from the dead, Kenshin loses his arm and is forced to replace it with a wooden prosthetic. He would have preferred to have gone with one of metal, but the technology for such an intricate piece of machinery had not yet existed.

Watch Kenshin as he wanders Japan doing good and trying to hide from those that would take advantage of a man with only one, usable arm.
Full Moon wo Gasaraki...
Plot Summary...
Mitsuki Koyama is a young girl holding onto one dream she's had since she was but a child...To become the pilot of a bipedal weapon, the Tactical Armor. Unfortunately for Mitsuki, she suffers from a rare cancer that keeps her body from being able to withstand the gravitational forces exerted on her frail body by the TA. While wallowing in her room playing with a few to scale TAs models her father had left with her before his death, Mitsuki is greeted by a pair of shinigami. Seeing as their duty is to ensure her death comes about as planned by fate, the shinigami toss Mitsuki into a TA sans training and drop her onto the battlefield.

Watch as Mitsuki tries to reign in the power of the TA and keep herself from dying a horrible death.
(referring to last post on Page 1) Forget about making Yotsuba into a crossover... make it into an anime first!

Fullmetal Alchemist <> Full Metal Panic
... no, wait, Funimation already messed up with the DVD cases and did this one themselves. Let me try that again.

Ranma 1/2 <> The Legend of Moby Dick
... look like they're from the same period. And besides, the guy that's a girl (Lucky) can meet the girl that's a guy (Ranma). Gender confusion hits hard sometimes. Never seen Rumiko Takahashi do a sci-fi...

Okay, just one more...

Paniponi Dash + Please Teacher = Paniponi Please
... An eighteen-year-old freshman marries his eleven-year-old teacher...? :bootout:

Okay, I'm done with that one.

My money is on Ash/Pikachu. They're "tried and true" friends and have seen quite a few more battles than Takato and Guilmon. Besides, Takato always kinda reminded me of an asian version of Charlie Brown--just a little wishy-washy.

In fact, the entire third season of Digimon puts you in the mind of the Peanuts comic strip with Takato as Charile Brown, Henry as Linus and Rika as Lucy.

...Dude, I just had the most amusing thought. An InuYasha/Bleach/Naruto crossover.

In addition, if enough people are interested, I am in the process of writing my own fanfic, which is an IY/Slayers crossover.
