Friend getting baptized!

Postby Mave » Fri Mar 05, 2004 9:55 am

wwaaaiiiiiiii...:jump:

Pls don't mind my excitement, a member of our small group is getting baptized today!! Yeeahh what a joyful event!

I'm going off to get her a good baptism present!

on a sidenote, God is STILL moving hearts, even if our fellowship got dissolved earlier (see "Fellowship Dissolved" in Prayer Room, if interested). XD Another member expressed how much she felt comfortable learnin about God in the remaining small group that meets every Thursday night. She's sincerely willing to come and seek more knowledge about God...We know she's growing, coz she's opening up and has changed a lot from when we first met her. That's so encouraging!

To see ONE person growing fast in God, makes all the struggles to keep this small group going without church resources worthed it all and makes you wanna go out and reach out to more. XD

*a very happy Mave runs off*

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Its great to see how things work out like this. At camp year before last my little cousin was baptized but afterwards a little girl and her brother spoke up and said they wanted to be baptized to. Even how after a few days, that is great. Heh, even after nearly two years I get excited remembering when I was baptized :thumb:
"Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
and things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art; to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul."
