Tried a couple eps of "Asatte no Houka". Just didn't grab me, so I guess I'm moving on.

I saw the sub of episode #12 of Samurai Champloo('The Disorder Diaries')
yesterday night.
I learned the following watching it:
*The subtitle for the episode is:'Looking To The Past' or something like
*Fuu actually states that she was working at "uncle's teahouse"
*Fuu gives a fuller description of both Mugen and Jin
*The Zen monk or priest they stay with is named Father Fuzou(sp?)
*When Mugen ask his question in the sub version you can hear the first bars of Thus Sprach Zarthusa(aka the theme from 2001:A Space Odessey)
being qouted in the music as the camera shifts from the back of the monk's
head to Mugen.

Romeo x Juliet ep 6. LOVE this show! Just to let the men know, it's really not too lovey-dovey involved of a show. THIS version more involves tyranny, politics, and alot more action! ....plus a bit of romance here in there, but not too too much... yet.

Just finished going through "Tokko" on fansubs (previewing to determine whether the kids should be watching this on Sci-Fi.)

I gotta say, I'm a little underwhelmed. The writers could have done so much better with this one. Had the same problem with "Magikano". Great start, meh ending.

At least I can keep enjoying the dub of Noein. The story is great anyway, and they're doing a good job so far on the dub. I like some of the voice actors on the sub better, but that's how it always ends up working out for me. (I think FLCL is the only time I can definitely say I liked the dub voices equally to the originals.)
May the Lord bless you and keep you.

Samurai 7...or Seven Samurai, can't remember which. Anyway, it's the anime, not the movie it was based on.

It seems quite good so far, with good music and exciting action scenes. I can't for the life of me remember anyone names, though ><

Finally saw the DVD of the second Inuyasha movie yesterday. Some interesting points:
*When Sango gets up in the hot water spring you can see the scars from when she was killed in her introductory episode:Enter Sango,The Demon Slayer. What is so
interesting is that the scars that were left look like a spider.
*Speaking of spiders when Naraku comes out of Kohaku's back it is revealed that
Kohaku has a spider mark in that area.
*Janyse Jaud who played Kagura and Kanna in Inuyasha also played Fuyuka(sp?)
Liqueur the mother of Katsumi on Silent Mobius,in the dub of the second Inuyasha
movie Kaguya is played by Nicole Oliver who played Katsumi Liqueur in the
Silent Mobius dub.

Nodame Cantabile episode 23. That is the happiest I've been watching anime in a long time.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water

It's interesting so-far, but I know that Anno had a breakdown at some point in this show, so I'd like to try to figure out where it happened... He's not exactly the most stable person, is he?

Oooh! I always wanted to get started on that one! It looks so interesting, but I can't find it anywhere! The library only has the first volume and the movie.

The only thing I want to know is--IS THIS ANIME FINISHED?! Seriously, Evangelion I understand...but good grief, Anno-san, there's no excuse for "His and Her Circumstances"!

Sorry to be offtopic, but I just feel that a few things need to be clear up.

That is not true that Hideaki Anno had his breakdown, when he was the director for Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water.

Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water aired in Japan in 1990 and ended in 1991 and EVA aired in 1995 and ended in 1996. Anno even said that his breakdown came sometime, when he was working on EVA.

KhakiBlueSocks wrote:The only thing I want to know is--IS THIS ANIME FINISHED?! Seriously, Evangelion I understand...but good grief, Anno-san, there's no excuse for "His and Her Circumstances"!

His and Her Circumstances aired in 1998 and ended in 1999. The manga was still going and didn't end untill 2005 in Japan. That was one reason, why the seires feels like it didn't have an ending.

Also, Gainax lost alot of funding from groups after the backlash they got from you know what anime. This hurt Gainax alot and it showed a little bit with His and Her Circumstances as they had to cut coners a bit.

Really, FLCL was the anime to pull Gainax out of a hole.

Now to keep it on topic.

Watch Macross OVA 1 thur 3 today that I tape from Sci Fi Channel.
