Weird DVD Player Question

Postby Stephen » Fri Jun 29, 2007 10:35 am

Ok. I got my parents a cheap dvd player last night, and tried to hook it up to there tv. Problem is, there tv does not have the audio and video things. Then I got the bright idea to try to rig it through the VCR...nadda. The player came with a double ended 3 plug wire. The red, white, and yellow. Do I need a special adapter for hooking it up to the older tv, or to the VCR, or am I shafted?

there should be an adapter of some sort available, i know that i had the same problem with my ps1 and ps2, so i had to get the special cable, but that won't work for any old dvd player, check best buy or radio shack or something, they should have it

Okay, what you want to do is go to your local Radio Shack or whatever you've got nearby, and ask for an RF Modulator. If they ask you what kind of input you have, it's RCA. (That's the type of connector that those three plugs represent - yellow is the video, and red and white are the audio.)

The RF modulator should have a switch to select whether you want it to put the signal on channel 3 or 4.
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.
