Suicide Troops (Gauntlet Series)-These enemies have explosives or poison strapped to their backs. They run directly at you, then kill themselves, causing a fair amount of damage unless you stop them. Suicide troops (kamikazis, if you like) are found in many games, and I find them to be some of the most annoying enemies.

Banshees (Halo)-Generally annoying unless you have the rocket launcher or a tank (the only ways to kill them other than using another Banshee).

Pirhanas (House of the Dead 2)-The bounce around through the water in packs trying to kill you. They are annoying, because it is difficult to shoot all of them before they reach you. :eyeroll:

I could list many more, but Joe Dirt is coming on, followed by the Judas movie.

Actually, not true... I routinely have killed them off with Ghosts and I've taken them down before with the machine gun (does take at least two clips and you need to be fairly close).

I'll have to think of an annoying enemy though...

Yeah, it takes forever to save up 150 thousand bolts. But once you have the RYNO, beating Drek is a breeze.

Toughest enemy? Hmm... I'd have to say the Warhawk in Twisted Metal: Black. I can't beat that guy without using the invincible code.

I stand corrected. :)

Yeah...the Warhawk definitely wins the award for toughest enemy.

As long as we're on the subject of tough enemies (not the same as annoying, in my opinion), I have a few to add to the list:

1.Nosferatu Zodd (Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage)-The toughest (but unfortunately not the final) boss in the game. He is fast, has tons of health, and can practically kill you in one blow. That, and he taunts you during the fight. :mutter:

2.Emperor (House of the Dead 2)-Annoying and tough. He is the king of cheap shots, throwing copies of the previous bosses in the game at you that take precise shots to defeat. Of course he also has tons of health. :eyeroll:

oh, in Metroid 2: Return of Samus (the really really old gameboy game) The last three-or-so metroids are EVIL! I cannot beat them for the life of me. I've had that game for years and years and years, and have never met anyone who has beaten the last few of those wretched, wretched creatures.
Love wins.

id say the final boss in beyond good and evil
since i was dumb and didnt buy enough kbups it took me forever to beat him, especially when he
switches your controls....so annoying
but i finally beat him after a while, with very little kbups

Well, now you know one ;). Yeah those things are tough. And the Queen Metroid at the end? There's no way to avoid getting hit. I lost that game somewhere along the way (along with Link's Awakening. *sniffle* Man, I miss those games) but I managed to beat it.

Those Tonberries from Final Fantasy VIII. Talk about a tedious side quest. Tonberry King's summoning animation was rather amusing to watch though.

Malboros were also pretty annoying(especially in FFVIII.)

Metroid II - The Omega Metroids (Really big ones att hee nd that there's only 3 of) they take 50 missiles EACH! I found them harder than the last boss

KiraKira - You now know someone who has beaten them. I've completed the game in 2 1/2 hours.

Super Metroid - The Ghost ship when power is restored the annoying robots that you can't kill andcan only knock backward!

Metroid Fusion - FISH!!!!
There's a way when in Sector 4 that before getting the Diffusion Missiles you can get out fo the area and when you goto a navigation room you see a secret conversation between Adam and Command HQ. the Fish get in the way of it!!
Metroid Prime - Pirates that are immune to your weaponry. Always having to switch beams, especially on Omega Pirate is annoying.

Also the Chozo Ghosts. A regular pain.

Red Alert 2 - Yuri clones.

I will definitely say the 4 "what do I call them" in Pacman. They are at least very annoying!! ;)

seriously!! If you have tried Resident Evil, you'll get the idea!!

the small one's often the most annoying in very many games....

Those ninjas in Onimusha. They're fast, hard to read and tough to kill. And they jump out and scare you, making you look wussy.

If you want to be Metroid II you MUST take advantage of the screw attack! You're invincible will somersaulting.

Where it not for that I would NOT have beaten the last boss! -> The Metroid Queen!
