Besides, it could just be my eyes, but it looks as though they stretched the picture from Letterbox to fullscreen format, which I hate--why the heck they didn't show it in the normal format is beyond.

I hope that they learn from this. But to the ones that don't remember the days that Sci Fi Channel did air anime.
They would do stuff like this alot.

KhakiBlueSocks wrote:Why would they do something like stretch the picture? I think every other movie they air that's in Letterbox isn't changed. "Star Trek: Generations", for example.

CN showed .Hack:Legend of the Twilight in full screen... Maybe it was just the format they were given? O_o
ChristianKitsune wrote:hmm I didn't know watching something like that would hurt anyone...I know a lot of people who can't stand letter box...*shrug*

I mean, I enjoyed it, but I've seen both seasons of Stand Alone Complex, so I understood everything that was happening. Everyone who hasn't would have had NO idea what was happening, which doesn't seem like a good way to attract new viewers right off the bat. Granted, I guess it was a good choice if they deliberately wanted to pull in those Adult Swim viewers who DID see the show, but I'm pretty sure most of them would have watched anyway.
Maokun: Ninjas or Pirates? (Vikings are not a valid answer, sorry)
EricTheFred: Vikings are always a valid answer.

Man I wish I had other channels that got anime, but what can you get on cable? Only Sci Fi and CN.
