Her vocal arrangements are good, but yeah, lately the lyrics are so cliche'd and angsty.

Unfortunately, that seems to be a trend in music today. People who can actually sing have been replaced by people who look good doing it. It seems a lot of people have good "studio voices" where they get to focus on singing and the audio techs can help them a little. Live performances are tough, though. They are a lot different than studio sessions.

You can't really judge unless you've heard a live performance though.
Technology can do wonders these days, people who can't sing can have their voices modified to sound really good. Heck, even I'd have a great singing voice if I got the right sound techs.

She sounded ok to me live. Many bands don't sound great live or sound better life. Like Pillar sounds awful recorded but I actually enjoyed them live.
