my teacher is dying...

Postby c.t.,girl » Fri May 25, 2007 4:59 pm

please pray for joseph hammer. he was my teacher back in high school and he was like a father to me...a weird father but non the less a father. he had a heart attack yesterday around 5 or 6 pm and i just found out that he needs triple bypass surgery...but the doctors need his heart rate efficiency to be up by 30% before they can start working...and it's not up there.

thanks. and whatever happens happens...i know that he is a strong man and where he will go...and that he will be eternally happy. :/ i just worry for his family.

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

I'll be praying for him. My father had a six-way bypass(at the time, we didn't even know they went that high...), so I know that it is very difficult on everyone involved. Just recuperating from the surgery alone is tough.
It takes bad jokes to appreciate the good ones.

Prayers for your teacher ~ going up.
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share

And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.

I'll be praying that his family is comforted at this time. It may be bold of me to say so, but at least he is not suffering. I will also be praying for your comfort as well.

Praying. If he passes, be sure to let his family know how much he meant to you. It will help them along.
