A Cold for graduation

Postby Jaltus-bot » Mon May 21, 2007 11:30 am

I think I am getting sick. Graduation is tomorrow and I am basically busy until tomorrow night. Then I am supposed to be out again on Thursday. I really don't want to have a sore throat or lots of mucus. Please pray that recent developments reverse rather than continue. Thanks.

Praying. Drink lots of water and juice. Vitamin C helps a lot.

I will indeed pray. I would recomend Airborne. It's a fizzy Mega Dose of Vitamin C, and some other stuff in it. I always take it when I feel something coming, and it typically works. You can get it at Walgreens and Wal Mart, Etc.
It takes bad jokes to appreciate the good ones.

That supplement caused a close friend of mine to become suicidal...etc.
I can't say I'd recommend that to anyone after such a scary experience. :P

I'll be praying, drink lots of water and get some rest if possible.
Also, try not to stress over stuff.

Thanks for the prayers. I don't think this has gotten very bad, but I will still be keeping up the sudafed and frequent large doses of vitamin C for a couple days. :jump:

They took it as directed. O.O
Can you imagine taking it all at once?
That would be some hellish gas.

I just realized that the antihistamine that I was taking was a much older bottle than I realized and said dispose of after 3/2007. So I changed bottles last night. Before this, however, around dinner time, I started getting more post nasal drip and my soft pallet is hurting when I swallow. Because I just started using my electronic toothbrush after a long time, I am slightly concerned that there was strep on that toothbrush. Thankfully though, the nose/soft pallet thing is the only symptom right now. Still, if you could say a prayer that it's only allergy buildup or something and not something that will hurt more, be contagious, or make me have to go back to the doctor right after seeing the doctor, that would be great. Thanks.

It could very well be from the toothbrush.
Perhaps you should buy an old fashioned one, and use it for a few days.
If your symptoms clear up, bingo, it was the toothbrush. :P
A friend of mine uses an electronic toothbrush, and this sort of thing happens to her sometimes.

Still praying... :)

Symptoms have continued to differ from strep. Doctor said Monday when I came in for another prescription that it might be a virus, but he gave me an antibiotic sample and an antibiotic prescription just in case. I took the sample a couple days ago and still had a fever that evening. I hate being sick.
