I got both, cause I like collect the coloured versions of the games (aka not the dungeons or anything like that).

If I had to pick, I'd say diamond (because Dialga looks amusing not because 'diamond' sounds all fancy and superior). I feel bad for pearl though^^ At work, by time the day was over there was 1/8 copies of diamond left and 5/8 for pearl (everyone else probably went to Walmart to get it $1 cheaper -_- Whoopie ding).

Me, I like Daimond, just because I think Dialga cooler, heh. I think it's really fun, especially because the only other pokemon game I have played is Red, and only half of it at that.

I think we should put friend codes on here for trading or battling on Wi-fi, since you can't do that unless you have someone's friend code, and I don't know anyone else who plays pokemon ^^; I need to go refresh my memory on my own code, then I'll put it up here.

I bought pearl, since most people got Diamond. This is the first Pokemon game I've playing since the original Red and Blue, so and the addiction is making a full-force comeback.

I got diamond because when I looked at the differences between them, the diamond pokemon looked cooler. Also, Dialga looks very cool.

I stopped playing at crystal. But my all time favorite is, by far, yellow. I cant really comment about these new games, but pearl sounds cooler.

Actually, I got Pearl because a lot of my friends got Diamond and I was under the impression that two copies of Pearl couldn't link up with each other, but I think they can.

That page will really help you connect. Most routers will work with the DS, it's just that you need to change a few settings on your router around.

I got Diamond because of two reasons.

A) Diaruga looks cooler than Parukia.

B) Looking at the list of exclusive Pokemon, the Diamond exclusives looked to be better than the Pearl exclusives. Notable Diamond exclusives include Scyther/Scizor, Larvitar/Pupitar/Tyranitar, and Stunky/Skuntank. That sealed it for me.

Got the game, and love it, but my router broadcasts on a frequency too high for the DS to pick up. Maybe I'll spring for one of the DS wireless adapters, but it's 30 bucks I don't have right now.

Um, average party level of 40, but I don't really count it. It's only two pokemon, and I won't be using them after I beat the Elite Four anyway ;p EV training, here I come >:D (... eventually)

And yes, you can trade or battle through a FC. Which, by the way, means if anyone would like a Manaphy so they can breed a Fione, I'm your man. Just be sure to give me my Manaphy back after you breed it. :p

And yes, I second the direct trading thing. arch_angel's brother traded me a Chimchar and a Munchlax for some crappy pokemon I had (they were extras of his that he didn't want)

Current ubers: Mewtwo, Mew, Ho-oh, Lugia, Latios, Latias, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Deoxys, Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, Darkrai, Arceus, Wobbuffet

So don't use these in your party. :p

The last I had heard, Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy, and Shaymin are acceptable because their base stats are really not that high, the same reason why Articuno/Zapdos/Moltres and Raikou/Entei/Suicune aren't banned either. Mew is banned I think because of its ability to learn any move and thus practically impossible to beat if you set it up right.

And actually the reason I heard Wobbuffet was banned from competitive play was that in the rare event two trainers sent out two Wobbuffets, the "Shadow Tag" ability prevented either from switching out, and since Wobbuffet cannot deal direct damage, it resulted in a stalemate (unless you used up all PP for all moves and used Struggle, but that would take forever and a day). With Shadow Tag having been tweaked in Diamond/Pearl to allow switching out if two Pokemon have the ability, I think Wobbuffet may actually not be banned anymore.

The list I posted is the official Pokemon League banned uber list. I don't think the banning on Wynaut/Wobuffet has anything to do with that, though, since most of the other lists I found said that they allow Wobuffet as long as it's not used with Leftovers.
