People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

Congratulations, Nalani. I like the inclusion of scenic flashbacks to Sephiroth's dark past. It gives a good context for the whole scene.

Good job.

The icons in the backwall is great! :thumb:

Nicely done. Although, you kinda stole my subject. I was going to draw a Sephiroth-looking character sitting on a stool with a flaming Masamune in his hands. All done in pencil, though. No color. You did a great job with the environment and coloring. Awesome job!

Great job! Very good pic and putting the thought into picture form. This is the type of grace God has that even (if he were real) someone like Sepiroth can et saved if they truly repent and turn to Him! Awesome job! ^_^

WOW! :wow!:

That is absolutely fantastic - the drawing style speaks loads of experience and the picture itself conveys a deeper message that one would not notice until they looked closely. Very good job!

^__^ Thanks! You shouldn't let my pic stop you from doing yours, though. From your description is sounded like it would have been pretty cool looking. It doesn't sound similar to my pic either. XD More like a completely different theme. I'd like to see it though. ]Great job! Very good pic and putting the thought into picture form. Yeah yeah! That is exactly what I was thinking when I did this pic. I'm glad I was able to portay that. :thumb:

 lol. Loads of experience, huh? :hits_self: I wish. ^^;; I'm glad it looks that way, though. I'm fully self taught. And learn from good accidents. XD lol. I actually drew 5 different versions of this pic before I finally got it right. :forehead: When I did this one I was like :jump: W00t!!! I did it!!
And for the coloring, I kinda studied how the really good artist CG their art and then I tried experiementing.
Its all living and learning.

*shouts loud to everyone* See new artists! Keep drawing and never be discouraged!!! It pays off!!

I thinks pics with a lot of meaning behind it are excellent pictures even if everything is drawn in stick firgures. There is an impact that stays with you longer.

.... well thats my .... really long 2 cents. XD

Congratulations, Nalani!!! ^_^ Great picture. I really liked how you did the stained glass windows.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I must applaude the essential idea of the picture itself, and I wonder why I have neglected to do so until now. Everyone (and I paint with a broad brush) wants Sephiroth as a good guy, but how many people also want him Christian?
