I believe that Vernhal is doing a digital inking tut, and Mave is doing a traditional inking tut, so that question will probably be answered in Mave's tut, mssthang. ^_^

Umm... how large or small do you want the tutorials? Any limits?

Both of those would be great taboo - I'll go ahead and mark those on the list.

mechana, really the size of the tutorials will be up to the creators. How big will depend on how much overall information you will be putting in, how much text, how many pictures, how large the pictures are, etc. I don't see any need for limits. Prudence about not going overboard should be exercised, ^^. And consideration for people using 56K modems.

We'll start working out a schedule, but they will eventually be posted in the CAA tutorials forum. My thought was to have a new tutorial every two weeks or so, staring in March. Each tut would go in its own new thread, so people could ask questions and post projects they did based on that tutorial all in one spot. I'd like to have the tutorials posted at the CAA dA club, as well as compiled images of projects that people did following the tutorial.
Since there has been a lot of eagerness to start getting the tutorials up - we'll get a schedule worked out soon. Thanks!

Sorry to double-post, but I thought this warranted its own post.

I thought we'd start working out a schedule, since there have been several people who have PM'd me or asked in the thread when they could put up their tutorials. I had been planning on just doing one tutorial in February, and then in March do a new tutorial every two weeks, but since there has been a lot of interest, if it's alright with everyone, we'll go ahead and start putting up a new tutorial every two weeks (or twice a month) right away.

(I'll also post the schedule to the first post of this thread)

Schedule:

February A: Photosoph "Gif Animation"
February B: Esoteric "Composition"

May B:

Just curious, is anyone adverse to PDF files for tutorials, or would you prefer them as single images or one big image?

PDF's work fine with me. You might want to provide a link to Adobe Acrobat Reader for people who might not have it.

I don't know if it's too late to make another suggestion/request, but I'd like to know how Kokoro Daisuke takes such loverly pictures of herself and her dollies. I got a digicam for Christmas and can't do a thing with it. XD

The first tutorial of the month is going to be from taboo. It should be going up soon in the Tutorials forum, so keep an eye out for it!

Ok yeah I can do that.
Also I believe Iâ€™m a natural at drawing hands, even though I donâ€™t really have any pictures up on my DA that shows hands. Maybe I could do a tutorial about drawing hands as well.

And White Raven - try looking through devianArt's tutorials section. They have a very wide range that could be very helpful to look at. (e.g. Just type 'Photoshop' into the search bar, and a bunch of tuts will come up)

Well I don't think I'm an expert at anything that's listed already, but I'd be willing to help out on a topic I actually know.

Except I can't think of anything I could do right now. :lol:

So if anyone has seen something in a graphic I made (wall, layout, whatever) and wants to know how I did it, just ask me and I'll make a tutorial about it.
