These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.
Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.
But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. I'm fond of emo. Not all emo. I'm not quite sure why, but Emery never struck me as incredible. Some of their songs are very creative, (Listening to Freddy Mercury) but in my mind they are lacking something, although I'm not sure what. I actually just bought Underoath's two latest albums and I'm quite happy with my purchase. I think emo really appeals to me because the song writing is typically variant, catchy and very expressive. Really, all it takes to grab my attention is when musicians put passion into their song writing.

Real emo is an offshoot of hardcore punk, which Emery and other related bands are not usually described as. I'm just saying.

My question to everyone here is why argue over nothing so what if the band doesn't like to be labeled... So what if Emo or Emery is Cool ( never heard them don't have opinion on coolness of said band) Why are people choosing to argue over this when they could be talking about God and everything else that has to do with the kingdom of God

PS: I'm not an emo fan but one of my best buddies is. She typically drives the rest of us nuts by playing her emo songs collection during roadtrips. I'm not totally wild about this genre but neither do I have any issues with it. Have fun getting sucked in deeper and deeper, brother.

umm..like I said it's awesome that you can listen to emo music...I don't recommend it to everyone...because of what it can do. It affected someone really close to me in a really negative way...once she started listening to this genre she changed a lot. She never smiled...she was always on edge...I dunno...that's the only reason why I can't like this genre...it has really changed everyone I know into moody and well.. "emo" people. :/

meh, i dont consider myself emo but get really emotionally involved in some "emo-esque" animes. Saikano for example. Doesnt mean its a bad thing though. If you start writing songs though and crying a whole bunch then it might be a problem.

Yeah, for some reason black seems to be the only acceptable nail poilsh color for guys. I remember watching Showbread's "Mouth Like a Magazine" video and Josh Dies had red and black nail polish. I thought that was weird, but what makes black so acceptable and not read?
