I had a blood test done just Thursdays before Christmas when I was just getting over a 100 fever. My liver was stressed and my platelets and white blood cells were low. Apparently viruses reduce white blood cells. I went in to see the doctor and got a form for a new test. I went Thursday to get my blood drawn. I think I may have been coming down with a little cough and congestion thing. I'm worried that my second blood test will have something wrong like the first.
I want to get better and I don't want the blood test to make any issues to be dealt with.

I have had to do a lot of blood tests recently also. Those are no fun! I will certainly be praying.

Thanks for the prayers.
I think part of the reason it hurts to swallow now is that the skin on the side of my tongue in the back of my mouth is really irritated from sucking out mucus. That may take a couple extra days to improve.

Just adding an update: I saw the doctor today and I probably have strep throat. Thank God it doesn't hurt as much as I always thought strep did. (I have never actually had it before.) I should have an antibiotic before bed tonight.

Maybe I should just keep a running thread here for a while, see what happens.
So I was on the antibiotic since Wednesday night and was getting better.
Now I am going to call the doctor in the morning. See, I have now on four occasions spat out loogies with what looks like blood in it since sometime last night. Also, although I have recently been at a subnormal temperature, I just took tylenol for a fever again. Oh crud, I really don't want to have to deal with this.
Trying to keep looking up, however variably

The way the blood was was normal, but I got another antibiotic since I was going to take the last dose today. Thanks for the prayers. That kind of freaked me out.
