Nothing To Fear But Fear Itself

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
John 14:27

A little boy, who was afraid of the dark, was told to go to the unlit back porch and get the broom. He told his Dad he couldn’t because it was so dark and his Dad said, "Son, don’t be afraid, Jesus is out there." So the little boy went to the back of the house, opened the door, stuck his hand out into the porch and said, "Jesus, would you give me the broom?"

Like that little boy, much of what we fear is not real. One study showed that 92% of things we fear never come to pass. Live by the acrostic, Fear:
False
Evidence
Appearing
Real.

Prayer: Ask the Lord to give you His peace in the midst of fearful situations.

"Some say if only my fears and doubts will leave then I will get to work. But instead you should get to work and then your fears and doubts will leave."
~Dwight L. Moody
"The secret of a good sermon is to have a good beginning and a good ending, then having the two as close together as possible."
