Time change?

Postby meboeck » Mon Nov 06, 2006 6:44 am

Is it just me or did CAA not switch back from Daylight Savings Time? I just noticed this morning that the time on the posts is an hour ahead of the time on my computer.

I always had a problem with DST on all the boards that I go to.

What I do is,

When its DST, I check the DST corrections always on option and when DST ends, I check the DST corrections always off option.

I know that it can be a pain, but I just do that every year now at all the message boards that I go to.

The thing is, some states don't practice Daylight Savings Time and many countries have no equivalent. Making such a change worldwide would cause problems, though it does make sense for boards that are primarily based in North America. I always change manually.

That's because you're in a nuthouse, weirdo. <3
However, I've not noticed this problem either. In fact, my times seem just fine.

Actually, I didn't have to change it this time either. How does this work, Mithrandir?

Under UserCP -> Edit Options -> Date & Time options there are a few settings.

If you have properly set your zone and selected "Automatically Detect DST" under Time Zones, you'll probably never even notice it.

YMMV, I guess.
