I recently purchased KHII(Kingdom Hearts 2) from Walmart over the internet. It wouldn't work on my my old PS2 because it didn't play discs, so I didn't try at first. I brought it to a place that had a working PS2, and played it there. It worked fine there. I wanted to play it again when I got home, so I tried my luck with my old PS2, and beat it up to get it to work. It refused. I just recently purchased a NEW PS2, and all of my games now work on it, but whenever I put in KHII, it says please insert a Playstation or Playstation2 format game. Has this happened to anyone else with any game? ( the last part ) And if so, did you fix it? And how?

Uhhhh, if it's not working in a new PS2 then there's probably something wrong with the disc. Have you tried cleaning it? 9 times out of 10 a disc won't read because it's dirty -dirt or finger grease on a disc can cause it not to read. Gently clean the disc with soap and water, and always wipe the disc from the center hole toward the outer edge. (don't go circular!) If after a very thourogh cleaning it still doesn't read, perhaps the disc has become scratched. I dunno.

You live in the UK right? Is it possible your ps2 or game is from the US? Thus having regional issues.

No, I go to a base, and that's where I bought the PS2. I got the game on the internet.

It really sounds like a disc region issue to me, check on the game disc and console (right above the serial number). If it says "NTSC U/C," thats a Region 1/US & Canada version game, if it says PAL x/x (dont have any PAL games on hand so it may or may not have different country codes) that would be a Region 2/EU,UK,etc version game.
