Prayer for Renewal

Postby Sakaki Onsei » Sun Oct 15, 2006 1:16 am

It's been a while since I've been here, and mostly that's been due to the amount of homework I have been dealing with. But I'm not here to talk about that today. Something more important is necessary.

To put it plain and straightforward, I'm having a hard time getting back into activity with God. I do not know if it's the college atmosphere, or if it's the area I live in, or if it's just me falling away. Scratch that, I've been falling behind.

That is why I'm asking for y'all to pray for a renewal down here, that God would be able to help bring me back to him and be able to make me anxious to work with him like I used to. That he can help me find a group of people who are able to support me, even with all my quirks.

It's hard being the old guy on campus, and it's hard to be an olg guy, who is a believer, on a campus that is quite ungodly.

So...there you have it.

College can be a trying time for faith. You have already taken the first important step of wanting to renew your relationship with God, and the Lord is excited about that. He will help you. I will be praying.

look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€

While having a peer/support group can really help you, God doesn't always send us places where this exists. However, you can always go to Him in prayer. Shore up your prayer life, and put on the armor of God.

Plus, as a bonus, you've got the internet! There are LOTS of people on here, 24 hours a day, ready to support and pray with you, like I'm doing right now.

Right now, I have school AND work to do every day of the week so I get to miss church all the time now v_v Luckily I have a Bible study group I go to one day a week, but in your case of not having anyone else aorund... I'll be praying.

独り 子 を 信じる 者 が 一人 も滅 ひない で, 永遠 の 命 お得る ため で ある。

I want to thank everyone for keeping me in their prayers. I will state that this week has been the hardest of them all, but I do ask for your continued prayers as God gives me some reforms to work on.
