Prayer for discernment

I'd be teaching exactly where I want to, maybe not what I want to, but it seems perfect.

Please pray that all the details over the next year work out so I can do this. Not looking forward to the essays, the personal statement, that whole mess.

Does this program get you the Masters in Education? That would be handy for a 2-year service agreement.

Yes, it does. To further complicate things, my father's initial positive reaction has gone rather negative. He does not think I can participate in the program without a car. (Never mind I'm required to live with the other girls in the program, and no doubt someone will have a car.) Technically I don't need his blessing, but I feel like I'm cutting myself off from my parents if I don't act in accordence with their (usually Dad's) wishes, and I know I shouldn't still feel that way at 22 years old, but....

Perhaps if you discussed this with the program folks, they might give you an example of someone who did this without a car. That might put the Dad at ease. Or maybe he just likes having you close to home? Praying regardless.

I could be in Tokyo if he felt I was still under his thumb. As it is, I'm 3 hours away for college right now.
