I have no problem with experiement with sound. I just don't like it when a band changes its sound to gather more exceptance with top 40 stations. And going from Collide to Comatose is more then an experiement IMO.

I got it when it came out on the 3rd. My favorite track is either Better Than Drugs or Whispers in the Dark, and Comatose is up there as well. I'm not sure if I prefer this CD or Collide more, and I still need to get their other CDs.

I've only heard a little bit from this album but from what I've heard I'd agree with Shattersteve.

Ha-hah! I practically had to turn the mall upside down and shake it, but I found a copy of the album!

I wish it was harder than what is. The music isn't as hard as what I would like, and I do not find the lyrics as gripping as what I usually do. The songs seem to blend together, and suddenly the last song is playing. Maybe I'll feel differently once I have listened to it awhile.
On the plus side, I'm also glad Korey is signing again. I had wished she had participated in the vocals on the Collide album.
The album isn't bad, but I would like a return to their old sound; I'm thinking all the way back to Gasoline. I had been especially excited because of how Open Wounds reminded me of their old sound. This just doesn't seem as raw or compelling to me as what I have come to associate with them.

I picked my album up two weeks ago, and I immediatly fell in love with "Rebirthing," followed by by "Last Night," and "Comatose." I think the album is a good cross between "Invoincible" and "Collide" with even more profound and beautiful lyrics. I really enjoyed this one very much ^^ and it's really inspiring my work on the comic I'm publishing next year. Hmm maybe I should give them credit too... :P
God Bless,
