The Water Which You Drink
"but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
John 4:14
Imagine yourself lost in a boat out in the ocean. Your thoughts would eventually turn to how thirsty you are. You’re craving for the thing that is totally surrounding you.
It is an option, drinking the water that the boat sits in, but from experience you know you could drink all day and it just wouldn’t satisfy.
My question to you… why then do you keep struggling with sin and temptation? It will satisfy like salt water! Only at the start will it give some hint of satisfaction, and then it will decimate your body and your spirit.
When the woman speaking to Jesus realized what He was really saying she responded,
“Sir, give me this water so I won’t ever get thirsty, won’t ever have to come back to this well again!â€
