CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

A Japanese friend alerted me to this latest anime from Makoto Shinkai:

He sent me a mini flyer with a nice booklet, and from what I can tell (I have not studied Japanese for years ... so am very rusty), it looks very interesting!

I for one am eagerly anticipating the English release (yes, because I cannot survive without English subtitles).

What's it with Makoto Shinkai and long titles? XDD

Really I mean there's Voices from a Distant Star, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, 5 Centimeters per Second, and now Children who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below. XD

Well I guess that's just the trademark for a Shinkai movie or something. lol

When I first heard this title I thought it was tongue-in-cheek sarcasm. But that's the actual English title.

The title in Japan is just "Children Who Chase the Stars" So whose idea was that English title, anyway?
