To be honest I facepalmed throughout most of the article. Anime is influencing teen's theological outlook? Really? I sincerely doubt that. I'll post my full houghts on it later.

I think this was already discussed a long time ago, this article. Overall, I think it's stupid.

This article seems to pop up in a thread every couple of years. I thought there was even a sticky about it somewhere at some point. XD

Ah I see. I was not aware of the fact that it was a very old article when I posted this. I thought it was an article that was reposted on their website.

They support a very riduculous viewpoint that exposing teens to any other religious views contrary to Christianity is evil. Most of the time, animes don't even deal with deep religious themes.

Also, the word demon means something different in the Japanese language I believe. It doesn't automatically mean servant of Satan.

Fanservice is big in some shows but not in others. Also violence tends to vary from series to series, most of the time it is heavily unrealistic.

I find it funny how this article gives the assumption that christiananime.net has the same view on anime as they do. :P

I'll admit, when I first clicked the thread title, I thought, "Man, is it this article again?"

I was right.

Ibid to all of the above.

But... it's a good reminder, folks. Remember, the problem with this article isn't with what they are saying, it's with how they are saying it. Don't forget that many of the concerns they express, however poorly, are things we need to remember as Christians while we enjoy our anime. Maybe it's not such a bad thing it pops up from time to time.

Please excuse my newbishness in the posting of this article.

Anyway, the only thing that would have made this article worse would be if they said, "Anime basically is a tool of Satan."

Plugged in always feels the need to force their version of morality upon us. That's why I prefer CAA's reviews to Plugged In. CAA doesn't tell you what to watch, it just lays down the bare facts for you.:thumb:

Mods I don't care if you shut this article down since there have been so many threads already regarding it.:eh:

I guess this article offends me to a greater degree since I'm a liberal Christian.

I suggest you read what folks had to say the last time this article came up. I think you'll find you have plenty of company. People just don't want to do this again so soon:

Well, with that taken care of, I suppose I'll lock this.
