Not your typical thread about Baccano...

I was wondering if anybody knew of a trustworthy website that was selling the dvds. I don't care if they're imports or Japanese w/ English subtitles only, I just want to buy the series... but I can't find anywhere selling it. Are they selling it yet?

Unless I miss my guess Baccano hasn't been licensed yet in America. So you have three options. One, buy import DVDs with no subtitles (that won't play on American DVD players). Two, buy bootleg DVDs with Hong Kong subs that are terrible. Three, download fansubs. So...yeah.

You are right, it hasn't been licensed yet in America. I have been keeping an eye out for any news if this thing gets licensed here in America.
All I can say is, your out of luck right now. Since if you buy import DVDs that will not have subtitles.

Yep, the above two are correct, though all of us are patiently (...) waiting for the series to be licensed and released here in the states. XD It's good that there are more people enjoying the series now, though! 8D

I forget how long ago I discovered the series (a few months maybe) but I heard about it from various members here on CAA, you being one of them RD. I watched it and I fell in love with it. As for patiently waiting for it to be licensed, released, etc.... I guess I'll at least try to appear like I'm patiently waiting!

If it's not licensed, why would you expect DVDs like that to exist anyway? o_O

well, it's still possible for Japanese imports to exist. but they won't have any english subs.

Or play on an American DVD player. Remember Japanese DVDs are Region 2. American DVD players only play Region 1 DVDs (unless you have a region-free player).

Or a laptop computer that plays other region dvds... like mine...
but if it has no subtitles, that doesn't help me.
