[quote="ANN"]The North American anime distributor Viz Media has announced that America's Cartoon Network will run the Blue Dragon fantasy adventure anime series this spring. The anime's American television premiere will follow its April 2007 Japanese broadcast premiere by only a year.

The story centers on Shu, a boy whose village faces another attack from a longtime mysterious enemy. While trying to fend off the attack, Shu and his two friends, Jiro and Kluke, gain the ability to emanate monsters from their own shadows. With his Blue Dragon Shadow monster, Shu seeks to defend his home from the enemy.

Director Yukihiro Matsushita (Maria-sama ga Miteru, Zipang) and Studio Pierrot (Bleach, Naruto) based the anime on the Xbox 360 role-playing game of the same name. The game features Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, Dragon Ball creator and Dragon Quest designer Akira Toriyama, and Final Fantasy music composer Nobuo Uematsu. For the anime version, Tsuneo Ninomiya (Maple Town Stories, Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie) adapted Toriyama's designs and Megumi Oohashi (Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO, The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye) expanded upon Uematsu's music. Viz Media began releasing the loosely related Ral Ω]

Do you happen to know if this anime will fall in one of the Toonami time slots? And also is the anime good in your opinion? And Is it long?

Also why do they not put Prince of Tennis back on, or Mar for that matter? I know there is the Jetstream online, but why do they not put them back on air? And last time I checked Zatch Bell doesn't seem to finished or am I wrong?

Haven't you realized that Toonami has gone down from 10 hours(When they were on every weekday, those were the days) a week to just two hours? CN is getting slack. I mean sure there is Naruto, One Piece, and DBZ in the block(Im not including AS here because AS is sorta like a different channel if you will.); but they should try different things. Unless that is they don't have the funds to do so.

Sorry for being tough with those questions and this is probably not the thread to ask about them. But I was getting curious. And if you don't know the answers then thats okay, I just thought Id ask.

First, I have never seen it and not sure how good it is. The series is 51 eps long and Japan is up to ep 47 as of March 1st.

From my understanding, it and Bakugan will replace One Piece and DBZ in April in the Toonami block. The 26 eps that FUNimation has done will finish up in April. The ratings have been have been good for FUNimation's dubs of One Piece and it looks like they will rerun those eps, but it doesn't look like Toonami will air the reruns.

But we know for 100% sure later this month. Cartoon Network's upfront will be in April and find out what else will be coming to Cartoon Network then.

Also why do they not put Prince of Tennis back on

The ratings were not that great for PoT or MAR, so they just aired the eps on Cartoon Network's Toonami Jetstream web site.

Thanks for asking my questions. Well then at least there changeing the schedule around. I think its healthy for a channel to change the schedule around once in a while, it sort of keeps it alive and revives it.

But I will miss DBZ, although Ive seen all the episodes that show just never seems to get old for me. It would be nice if they could just get through the cell games, that was a good saga. You all may have mixed feelings about it, but DBZ is the anime that got me interested in anime.

._.

this...
looks....
wierd.

a bit too kiddish for my tastes XD...I mean the kids don't look older than 8 or 10 DX

oh well.. I guess the target audience is for that age group anyways...

I might give it a try...and see how it is...

If the kids were much older, than that anime would probably air on AS would it not? Look at Naruto the hero is 12 and so are his friends. I admit there are adults, but thats not really a main focus.

Im just curious to see if its any good, plotwise.

It sounds a bit corny right now.

Not really, the only way for it to fit on Adult Swim is, if it had detail action or heavy violence for it to air on Adult Swim.

:rant:They set that up for failure when they jumped around on the episodes. They weren't even given a chance.

Well, that was because they started to air them on Jetstream web site, first anyway.

They may have been hits in Japan, but they doesn't mean they would be hits in the USA. Really, I just can't sit down and watch an anime about tennis anyway.

It wasn't as bad as I thought. The only thing that confuses me now is that ANN lists both Michelle Ruff and Tara Strong as Kluke. So which is it?

From my understanding, its Tara Strong that does the voice of Kluke.
