DN Angel

I just finished the DN Angel series. I was impressed by the quality of the artwork. It is a very well-drawn and animated series.
There are just a couple of things that bother me...
Why does Dark send a warning letter before he steals something? Surely it would be a lot easier to steal a work of art if he didn't tell the police beforehand! Does the fact that the police know about it make it more fun?
And what exactly happened at the end? How did they defeat the Dark Wing? I am confused...
Overall, it was a good series. I loved the back and forth conversations between Dark and Niwa.

You see its Dark's thing to send warning letters probably because he likes a good challenge, he wants the media to capture his coolness, he wants to be remembered, or because its no fun to do it without spectators. Dark made stealing a sport and loved to have viewers.
Um its been a while, but they probably did defeat the dark wing. I do remember Daisuke saving Satoshi's life, and also that Daisuke and Riku got together. And maybe Satoshi and Risa got together, its anyone's guess. (Yes this was my one of my first actual anime, and is probably one of my most favorite anime. I wish there was another one like it though. It was very funny as well, and what's great about this show is that its not tainted with fanservice. The pool scene may have been a little fanservicey, but I don't think it was really meant to be. Im not going into any detail on that scene. Again I really enjoyed this show very much and I sorta wish they would make another season, but that might ruin it. Oh well...)
The only thing I want to do more with this series is read the manga... though, I don't have the funds to invest in the buying of said manga. I am really happy with just the anime though. I really liked it a lot, but I too was confused on a few parts, especially near the end. This is why I want to read the manga, because generally, manga's tend to clear up what vagueness the anime may have.
But I love DNAngel! Its definitely a favorite.

So far there are just eleven volumes of the DNAngel manga, I can't wait for the twelfth though!

(The manga has been on hiatus for a while, but according to Yukiru Sugisaki's website, details of further chapters will be released in the February issue of Asuka (the magazine it's serialized in).)

Well, like I said, I want to read it. But I can't afford to spend the money on each volume. I barely am able to afford buying for the other four series I am reading, trying to complete those collections. But I do want to read it... sigh. Oh well.

Well my advise would be to whenever you have a little extra cash and you already bought the other manga that you know you want, then you could buy a DN Angel manga perhaps. I dunno, just a thought.

My feelings on DNAngel? Well, I have to say, at first I was a little bored with it, but after I sat down and watched the entire series from beginning to end, I have to say, it's become one of my top 20 anime. The story can get a big confusing if you don't pay attention, but overall, it's quite enjoyable.
The english dub was really well done in my opinion. You really couldn't get better than the cast they picked out. Though, I did find myself comparing Daisuke and Dark to Ed and Al from Fullmetal Alchemist in both voice and brother-like relationship.
The only thing that irked me about DNAngel--where the heck did this anime take place?! Japan? Italy? Marfa, Texas? (see the commentary track) It always confused me.
Other than that, I have to say DNAngel is quite enjoyable, and if I can find it for really cheap, it'll probably be the next big thing for my collection!

Me thinks it was in Italy(Perhaps close to venice maybe) because of the music and the scenic places, but I think Japan for the language. And yes KBS, this really irked me as well. Lets just say its somewhere nice with an Ocean, Mountains, and trollys(Or trains)!
Yeah, I found it a little rude when Daisuke called Riku "Elder(Or was it Older, I can't remember) Harada", thats like calling her old. Haha, completely opposite twins. Man Risa got on my nerves. I thought With would be a cute pet to have.

If memory serves, just about everyone used either "Elder" or "Older" when referring to the Harada sisters.

I can tell you why Dark sends warnings in advance: because it makes him seem a little like Lupin III!

Yeah, I think Blitzkrieg hit it right on the nose.
OFF TOPIC- Now this raises the question: Who is a better theif, Dark or Lupin the 3rd? (Yeah, Im sorry for going off topic y'all.)

Dark FTW. He steals for a purpose and he's really cool with the ladies. Any guy who can make theft that cool is a winner in my book.

Also, Dark works practically alone, except for With. Lupin relies on Jigen and Goemon, who are both cooler than he is (especially Jigen).

Well, DNAngel is not a christian anime, but it is for the most part a clean anime.
For details on the content you can look at this review.
http://www.christiananime.net/reviews_anime.php?display=210 Also, hey you guys, are you forgetting Fujiko? Although I wouldn't really say she is Lupin's girl.
Bah, yeah Dark is better anyway. He can also fly.

I agree with the others about why Dark sent out warning before he steals something ^^
Some crooks get a kick out of it. It's a challenge for them ^ ^ Kinda like Psiren from FullMetal Alchemist ^__^
As for the ending...
Dark and his enemy fought, but then Satoshi did something.. (It's been awhile for me too) to destroy his counterpart Angel guy
Haha.. That was an interesting explaination XDD Sorry.. XDD;
I too loved the artwork ^^ It's purty <33

I was confused by the ending as well, but the rest of the series was well done I thought. My kids certainly enjoy this anime a lot, especially episodes where With has a larger role. Dark rocks!

Fujiko has always been out for her own interests above all else. I'd hardly call her a reliable ally. Dark doesn't have that problem either, so another point to Dark. Also, Dark has purple hair.

Well purple is a cool color. I wasn't against Dark, I just wanted to see who you guys thought was better. I just thought Lupin the III was a more hillarious show because of Zenigata. But DNAngel still remains as my most favorite or at least close to favorite anime.
But let's remember that Lupin is at a disadvantage because he can't transform into a master thief.
Anyone know why Fujiko always dyed her hair a different color every single episode and every movie? Was it for disguise purposes? Or did she just like to dye her hair?

IN Lupin's defense, he gets 24/7 to devote to being a master thief, while Dark has to deal with sharing a body with Daisuke.
As to Fujiko's hair, I'd say it's due to disguise (and/or to seduce men with different tastes - this IS Fujiko Mine we're talking about), personal preference, and mostly multiple artists handling the show.

Yes that sounds about right.
Thank goodness that there are others who watch or have seen Lupin the III!

This one's surely a favorite of mine, thought it was a bit confusing at times.
I wish they'd make a second season too. If it's as good as the first then it'll be great.
I always thought this anime took place in Japan but I guess that's just because of the names.

Yeah, I wished they would make another season too. But I don't think that's going to happen.
I always thought it took place in some European town because of the landscape but with the Japanese language. I was always confussed though of where it was set though. Is this some country in Europe or in Japan? I dunno.

I'm currently watching this series and I'm liking it. It's totally different than the manga though (I own all the ones that are out so far.)

I wish they would finish up making the manga though. I have really been waiting for like 3years for this next volume. I actually think they just stoped writing them completely. Hiatus my foot.
I like both the anime and manga equally, although the manga does have more story than the anime.

Well with the manga the artist broke her arm and from what I remember decided to take 2 years off.
