So who else is psyched to see the sequel to one of the best 3D motion capture films ever? Besides, it snagged a PG-13 rating as opposed to R for the first.

Since Geneon folded what company is bringing it out in North America?
Also will it have the same cast of characters:Deunan,Hitomi,Athena,Brieros, etc.?

I could care less who distributes it, and I am not gonna be hugely picky about actor continuity....
I want to see this! Oh my gosh the trailers had me drooling....its even smoother then the original, and I loved the original. I WILL see this one.

It was pick up by Warner Home Video.
I will not be seeing it. I can't stand anime being done in all 3D cel shading at all.

Of course, I am willing to buy it! Since Warner is releasing it, I'll get it on HD DVD. But I've heard you gotta see the first Appleseed before you watch EX MACHINA. And I did see the first Appleseed.
Also, ADV has done the dub. Luci Christian is Deunan and Chris Patton is Briareos, I think.

The sequel was neat. not exactly what I expected but it satisfied me and gave me a new adventure to enjoy with the same characters. even though they didnt all look the same or even speak the same or moved similarly to their roles in the first story it was a move from traditional CGI animation to a more complex and more realistic approach on all things CGI. I expected the characters to all look the same at least in the second one as they did in the first and thats what threw me off in the second film, is that they characters look similar but are not entirely the same as they were before. maybe they grew up? hehe, very very finy film though overall and I think it should be seen. I own the collectors edition and wish they would've put some kind of booklet as an addition the dvds;)! thanks!

I like the first one for a casual watch nothing mind blowing. For the sequal i am just worried about them milking the cash cow. And as a side note the first one so did not diserve a R rating

Well the ads seemed to make it look good.Though when I did have a chance to I skipped it as there were other titles I was more interested in getting at the time *koff,Fushigi Yugi and Lain, koff*.

I think it was better then the first. The plot was less confusing to my family. My sister actually watched the whole thing. Their was alot more action thanks to John Woo.

This was a heckuva lot better than the first. Oh yeah it's coming to England pretty soon.
