I was laying around going through my video tapes and I found the first aired last episode of Eureka Seven (The one they chopped the opening monlogue and the end epilogue) and I couldn't help but remember the absolute uproar it caused on the Adult Swim message boards...and the three Eureka Seven fans on CAA! It got me thinking... Was there any other big outcry about anime like the one for Eureka Seven?

What about One Piece's Sub vs Dub? That was an extreme outcry I think.

XDD that was actually entertaining once we knew they would reconsider their stupidity.
I think when the Pokemon Dubs changed over people were upset for the VAs that worked for like 9 years on the dub... :/
hmmm... I cant recal much else... maybe the Sailor Moon thingy? And The "original" Nassica Release in the 80s

Original Nausicaa release? You mean the way it really was and not the lame "Warriors of the Wind" travesty? Because I heard that the original movie was banned in Germany when it first came out.

Well I doubt this is one, but in my book it should be. Remember when Case Closed used to air on AS. I was absolutely shocked when they took it off of AS without a word to the public that they were going to do that. I know that it was Funimation that did it because of the liscense thing, but still I wish people would tell us when something won't come on and when it will.

I think using the word stupidity is not right in this case. Adult Swim made a log error mistake.
There should be some praise to Kim Manning for talking to Bandai and getting the ep reaired.

Funimation had nothing to do with Detective Conan (aka: Case Close) being taken off the air.
Adult Swim sign a contract with Funimation for TV airing rights for the first 50 eps of the series. The ratings for Detective Conan were not that good and Adult Swim let the contract run out.
Only Animenewsnetwork.com reported the story about Adult Swim not renewing the contract and that was it.
After Adult Swim stop airing the series, Detective Conan was put on the Funimation channel and its still being aired on Funimation's tv channel.

Yeah I thought that might have been it, but I really wish Funimation was available in my area!

Funny that you mention "Log Error"...wasn't that what happened to Eureka Seven during the airing of the last episode? I find it funny that nobody realized that the last episode didn't have the opening/closing title sequence. I mean, it WAS on "The Fix" unedited!

That's the ep that I was talking about as the log error. From the understanding, Kim Manning and Adult Swim had to talk to Bandai in getting that ep reaired, because they couldn't just up and reair that ep like that.
