Tsubasa Chronicle Question...

Postby rii namuras » Tue May 22, 2007 7:36 am

(Seeing as it's officially released today, but has been available for a few weeks, I have a question about Tsubasa. I want to suprise my younger sister (who I have deemed old enough to watch, except for what concerns the question) with it, but I need to know - how is the language? I've watched the subs, and the only thing that worries me in the first four episodes is how Kurogane addresses Tomoyo... considering how fansubs go, I'm not *that* worried, but I still want to make sure before getting it for her.)

(I suppose I could just tell her I'm going to check one part of the first episode before she watches it, and then if it's bad I'll just fast forward. She knows what happens anyways.)

(Bought it. No language. Yay. She is very happy. Mods may delete.)

I haven't seen the anime but the manga has little to no language at all but when it comes to tsubasa I wouldn't worry about language I would worry about the blood and violence. There is alot of it! that is why it is 13 and up.
These are my drawings. Tell me what you think okey. =3

(Well, there was a lot of language in the first volume (it really ticks me off when people say it's completely clean - I bought it thinking my younger siblings could read it and had to go in with a black pen), and based on both the manga and fansub translations (which were similar in the area I was worried about), I was hesitant to buy the first volume for my little sister. However, it all worked out fine, as there was no language. Violence isn't a huge deal in our family, at least how it is in the Tsubasa anime (haven't read much of the manga, so can't say much there).)

Well the manga has a lot more magic in the later volumes. More then it seems because some people just pick up the first two or so volumes when there is a lot of magic in the later ones. The manga has a lot of blood. (in the later ones of course) But the anime is as clean as a whistle. Not much blood, not much Magic, not much language.

(Okay. I knew that about the manga. I am not talking about the manga. I was wondering about the language in the first volume of the anime (since based on my knowledge of Japanese, I wouldn't blame them for translating it that way), and my fears proved to be false.)
