Favorite 'Background' Character...

Who your favorite character is who appears briefly throughout the series or only says a few lines? Mine would have to be Chihiro from Azumanga Daioh as her character definately makes an impression in the two minutes she's on an episode.

I think I'd probably say Yakko from tactics. ^^ (gotta love my bias) The stuff she said about Kan-chan's lonely childhood made me tear up. T_T

He may be slightly too important to count as a background character, but Shino of Naruto is a favorite of mine, and he's really only in a few episodes (and says nothing in most of those he appears in).

I would think that Kikyo and Sesshomaru are more like regular recurring characters and not background ones.

Does anyone remember Admiral Maistroff from Robotech/Macross? I thought he was pretty cool. He was the dude in the brown uniform who greeted Exedore on the episode where Breetai decides to help the SDF-1 and its crew. I believe it was ep. 26 "the messenger".
