Anyone here know the release date for the r1 dvd? I heard it's being released at the same time as the r2... But I'm not sure when that's happening. Any ideas?

I believe that dvd is already out. Just goto http://www.manga.com and click on the search bar on the bottom of the screen and appleseed is there.
But if it's appleseed 3D, well i have no clue....

Also, This site has the release date of all/most upcoming R1 dvd releases planned for the next year:
