Ah, thanks very much! PM me some one that you especially like. I'd enjoy talking music.
Started watching Black Butler. After 3 episodes so far I have to say that it is entertaining but it is far from the amazingly awesome series that people seem to say it is. I mean i like it but I have seen better. Granted, I have only seen 3 episodes so my opinion may change by the end]I'm gonna go ahead and call that it won't be an amazing show to you, mainly because you are not the show's intended audience. Black Butler is complete fujoshi bait. And that's pretty much it. It just ain't for folks like you and me.Juliannesan (post: 1499762) wrote:BTW, on a random non-related note. I looked up your music playlist and you've got some good tunes on there.

Only Yesterday
Takahada may be the "forgotten man" at Ghibli, but he has made one of the studio's most poignant works in Only Yesterday. I think this movie can be best appreciated by people who have had enough life experience to take stock of both their childhood and their early adulthood. This is a wonderful piece about both nostalgia and self-discovery.

Perfect Blue
Kon's directorial debut is the most unsettling anime I have ever seen. PB is a disturbing story about the ripple effect that the otaku culture has upon its idols. Of course, it bears the Kon hallmarks of also being about the vagueness of the border that separates fantasy from reality. As in Millennium Actress, he uses movies as his prefered medium of fantasy]
I'm surprised you just watched those movies. As always, your reviews are on the spot.DD Hokuto no Ken
As you may or may not know, the opening lines of Hokuto no Ken proclaim that in the year 199X the earth endured a nuclear apocalypse, reducing it to a Mad Max-esque wasteland full of biker punks. The opening of DD Hokuto no Ken, a recent set of shorts that parody the shounen fighting classic, states that in the year 199X, the world did not endure a nuclear apocalypse! Thus, The characters of HnK, their intense, grim, battle-ready personalities from the original series intact, must get along in the normal modern world. Hilarity ensues.
I came across a blogger who called it 'a robot caper anime', which is I think better and shorter than my attempt to describe it! I think I've settled into watching an episode every now and then. So far there's little drive/impetus/engin/what-have-you pushing me from ep to ep, but it still has a great sense of fun to it which makes it a nice thing to wind down with.ShiroiHikari (post: 1498563) wrote:My husband is currently watching Bryger raw (his Japanese is quite good). I didn't know it was getting subbed. I've watched a couple of episodes but without subs, I can only catch what's being said maybe half the time. Blaster Kid looks like a cool, cool guy though, and Isaac kinda looks like he stepped straight out of UC Gundam. And yeah, I noticed that large groups of random mooks tend to get mowed down a lot...

This show has taken me through so many twists and turns that my head is still spinning!:eh:
I really love it now though.
First off, I was shocked, shocked that Fakir found out Ahiru was Tutu, he was so mean. D: Why not team up??? Then Mytho basically tells Rue that he loves Tutu.. and then stupid ole' Kraehe (rue)gets her revenge by ripping the emotion of love out of his heart and kissing him.
(all while poor Ahiru is trapped, watching and Fakir is getting the snot beat out of him by stinking ravens. ):)
I L.O.V.E.D the next episode, it made Fakir shoot up to second place in my character list... and now I'm shipping Fakir and Ahiru. (How could you not after episode 12??? )
It was so chock full of super cute, funny fluff that I was squeeing the entire episode!
(and to think, that up until episode 8, I hated Fakir... now he's my 2nd fav character in the show. =3)
And strangley enough, I don't feel torn about dropping the pairing, MythoxAhiru. =/ Now when I think about it... I feel nothing. Zip. and you know what? Even if Fakir and Ahiru isn't canon, I don't care, I wuv it anyway.
As said before, I love this show... but why do I get the bad feeling it'll end sad?
(It's gotta be all the drama going on in it...)
Maokun (post: 1501221) wrote:Yeah, the problem with School Rumble was the lack of resolution. I mean, we have a story centered about the possible romantic relationship between the several characters... And then abruptly "end" without giving us anything at all. Then you resort to the manga for answers and it drags you for even longer until the point you notice not even the auhor gives a crap about anything anymore and that one finally ends too without resolving anything at all.
The series is really funny but following it through the ever-increasingly nonsensical twists and inane plots until it's fruitless end left a bad taste in my mouth.
aliveinHim (post: 1501222) wrote:True, cuz does Harima ever get Tenma or does Tenma ever get Karasuma. Does Hanai ever get Yakumo? I loved it since it was hilarious and definately kept my attention.
I'm watching Baka and Test and Save Me! Lollipop.
Maokun (post: 1501256) wrote:As I said, I read the manga and what actually happens is that
Karasuma falls prey to a strange sickness which leaves him amnesic and unresponsive. He's sent to USA for a treatment and Tenma follows and decides to study to become a Nurse to be able to stay at his side. That part was actually good as the childish Tenma as the first and only one to take an adult decision. However, Harima refuses to move on, even though Eri makes more and more clear that she is truly in love with him. Lots of hijincks ensue but in the end Harima never answers to her feelings and keeps dreaming of Tenma. Yakumo has even less luck. Hanai does end marrying Mikoto and is the only official pairing resolved. Imadori keeps being a flirtsome idiot and while sometimes surprises Karen with a random caring gesture, he always ends messing up and getting beaten up by Lala. In other words, the status quo that was being reached towards the end of the animated series is maintained until the end and then it all abruptly ends.
