Legend of Black Heaven episode 1

Also known as Guitar Hero - The Series.

Some of you might better recognize this show from the recent Code Monkey AMV of Anime Expo 2007 fame, which is incidentally where I discovered it. Fairly entertaining, I might catch it again some time, though I suggest most viewers here take my word for it: fast forward past the episode openings and endings. The rest of the show was pretty clean though, aside from language and some fantasizing.

Samurai X - Trust and Betrayal DIRECTOR'S CUT

Splices all four episodes of the famous OVA series into on two-hour film. Very well done, and highly recommended, whether you're a fan of the original Rurouni Kenshin or not.

Finished the series 'Yume Tsukai' last night. Weird, but kinda fun. Would have been better without the time-wasting, unnecessary magical girl transformations.

Still plugging along on the current season of "Tokyo Majin" in raw format (nobody's subbing it). I'm up to episode 4. I really, really need to improve my Japanese. Parts of this story are going completely over my head.

after watching 13 episodes of Heat Guy J, i have decided to give up on the series. the series has failed to impress me with its rather episodic pattern. the characters seem to be somewhat vague, and the animation is quite awkward. i have decided to try another series. one that seems to be much more impressive...Gantkutsuo: The Count of Monte Crisco!

You like bizarreness? You should check out "So Long, Mr. Despair" (Sayonara Zetsuba-sensei)!

Never heard of that one... Well, I do love the xxxHOLiC bizzareness, but there's only a certain amount of bizzare I can handle^^ CLAMP did that good, but the movie was a bit... too much for me. With that, it falls into the little genre of "strange and twisted", with such series as Cat Soup and the King of Bandits, Jin OVA, and various Animatrix episodes.

Also adding on today is Kanon 2 eps 20-21. Almost done^^ Been a while since I've seen any anime too, so it's always nice to watch a few eps in one go, once and a while^^

It's a current season show in Japan. It's hard to say if it would work for you based upon this. (I need to start trying to remember my fellow CAA regulars' tastes.) If you are familiar with Lucky Star, Pani Poni Dash, or Best Student Council, try to imagine a very dark, twisted humor version of one of these.

The central interplay is between a teacher who is constantly tottering on the brink of suicide (has attempted many times, actually) and a ditzy and ridiculously optimistic female student (who, for reasons that cannot possibly be explained here, has nicknamed him 'Pink Supervisor'.) I'm sorry if that sounds very sick, because frankly, it is hilarious. It helps that you always have the sense that this guy is incapable of succeeding at it.

Headed away from humor bizarreness, into fantasy bizarreness, though, have you ever seen Kamichu? I was attracted to it when someone described it as 'imagine if Miyazaki did a TV series.' Great stuff.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.

Nope, don't really know of any of those^^ Except I have heard of Kamichu...
We shall see if I ever get time one of these days to start on yet another series^^ Been gaming moreso as of late, and there's A LOT more good games comign out than anime series I'm looking forward too. I think xxx season 2 is the only thing, really, oh and that Tsubasa OVA, but that'll be a while before it comes out...

I've just been watching love pheromone. It's a comedy about two girls who cause lots of destruction every time they stop a minor villian with another anime , gendou otome tai i think where five girls are trying to be excellent evil, but they end up always doing good deeds. I'm going to watch the last episode of that tonight.
And i've been watching strawberry panic, which is about several characters in a catholic school. It's alot like maria sama ga miteru. It's a really cute romance anime.
Absence is to love as wind is to a flame. It extinguishes the little, it ignites the great.

Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been real life you would have have been instructed where to go and what to do.

When i argue with reality I lose.....But only 100% of the time.

Once you've decided on a course of action, only you can finish it. As long as you remember that, there's nothing you can't accomplish.

I'm currently watching Gankutsuou, and thoroughly enjoying it. Once you get used to the weird textures (took me about three episodes), it's really amazing. There were a couple parts that were so close to the book that I nearly strangled myself with my own hair, and it's very dramatic. It has telltale anime twists to it (journies, vampires, etc.), but the heart of it is still Monte Cristo. Although, I would seriously recommend reading the book before watching it, if you haven't. It makes a lot more sense if you already know the story.
