[quote="Sohma (post: 1198175)"]These don't really bother me. I actually like them xD. But the first one reminds me of Orochimaru . . . that's kind of awesome. xP They aren't taking it too far, like Mana, *barf*. In my opinion anyway.
I think they are pretty and nice looking at the same time ]
Wow. Those first two are pretty awesome.

They may be scary, but I like them. A lot...

But sometimes I worry about Kyo. I don't like to see him cut himself while he's singing. But I can't stop him...

I do have pictures of Mana in pink somewhere on my computer.

Actually I have several thousand pictures of mana on my computer.

Obsession? Yes. Fascinating Man? I'm not sure about the second part, but what ever he is, he sure is fascinating. Good music, too.

I doubt that it matters whether a musician is gay or not.

beau99: Does Kyo actually cut himself? I would think not, and of course, the blood and vomit... can't be real.. But people have told me that sometimes it's his real blood. I'm inclined to be skeptical, but I don't know, I believe anything >_>;

Haha, I can't watch Diru PVs. I'm afraid I'll have nightmares and bite my tongue off in my sleep.

That's a very good view on it, but it just weirds people out. It would be nice if people would see it that way, but they don't. It seems to be that if you listen to music made by a gay or lesbian person.. it makes you gay or a lesbian o.o

(sorry if that came out bluntly or anything /o.o\)

I feel more concerned about the people who can only tell men and women apart based on hair length and the presence of make up.

oh man, blurry eyes has always been my favorite l'a en c song *swoons* I don't know why you'd bother to complain about it, its sooo old. Very Important Doll, complain about them if you think it'll get you anywhere.

and because i'm in such a snappy mood, I'll add this:

I don't think it's complaining really. Just curiosity. I had those same thoughts about American bands who dressed up as women, but I soon learned that it was just part of the act.

Hm, while we are on this subject, could anyone suggest some of L'arc-en-Ciel's more recent stuff I could find on youtube? Or any other band that isn't TOO over the top (Like Mana lol), but is still in this genre? I would love you forever! =3

L'Arc's last album was entitled "Awake" some of my favorites are New World, Killing Me, Stars, Twinkle Twinkle, and Jojoushi, though the entire album is great! I believe you can find most of those MVs on youtube. They do have newer stuff out, Seventh Heaven is a new song as well as Hurry X-Mas (though its now passed Christmas!). Their newest song release is Kiss.

Oh and SMILE their 2004 album is fantasic! READY STEADY GO! (used in the anime FMA) you may know. Living in Your Eyes (Hitomi No Jyunin), as well as an english released "Spirit Dreams Inside" (from Final Fantasy The Spirits Within), Feeling Fine is also another great track. Gosh, I don't think I can choose a favorite on that album they are all my favorites!

Back when they were more VK, it was all shock value.

But now that they're focusing on the music and words more, it's 100 percent real, I guarantee it.

I've seen them live twice. I know for a fact it's real. Some real candid interviews with both Kyo and Kaoru confirm it.

Kyo has felt lots of pain and anger, so he wants others to experience it.

I second the recommendation on SMILE - that's my fav. Laruku album to date.

CAA veterans are used to these threads by now; every now and then, someone is going to be exposed to this for the first time and react to it. Good job keeping this civil. ^^

Thank you so much!
I am thinking about buying both SMILE and Awake off of Amazon, after listening to a few songs. They are cheap too. ;D I really like, I think it was, Twinkle Twinkle. I need to listen to the rest sometime. =D

And I agree with Mave, I havn't been here long, but I really thought this thread was going to take a turn for the worse. But it didn't! ^-^

Oh, you're welcome! Glad I could be of help to you! I listen to a lot of J-Rock/Pop as well as K-Pop/Rock so if you need any recommendations just send a PM my way. ^__^

Also, if you like L'Arc you may want to take a look at Hyde's Solo albums, I didn't like Faith so much but ROENTGEN (which has an ALL English release) is brilliant! But be warned ROENTGEN does have a Japanese version of the album so if you want the all English one be sure to check and make sure of which language the CD is in before you buy it.

His Faith album was "harder" whereas ROENTGEN had more of his ballads and piano/acoustic guitar works.

Yes, that is their new album. I haven't listened to all the songs on it besides the ones listed. I was just stating the song "Kiss" (or Link "Kiss Mix") is also a great song ^__^

I will be getting their album soon though via the mail!

Nate. Mentioning Prince in a music thread is like mentioning Hitler on a politics thread. The thread is done when Prince shows up.
