Thank you for the thought, though he clarified via PM. My problem was that I was focused on linking "Naruto" and "Wrists" somehow and entirely ignoring the solidus. Later that night (my subconscious refuses to let things go) I did think of this interpretation, but I dismissed it immediately. Not my type of humor, I guess.

As much as I support SasuxSaku pairings, I remind myself that these are a bunch of young brash kids we're mostly talking about and our pairings are currently based on teenage crushes (that includes InuXSasuke, HinataxNaruto etc.etc.). I'd like to see how Sakura views Sasuke 10 years later assuming they both live long enough.

My fav. pairing is the only one that is confirmed: [spoiler] AsumaXKurenai [/spoiler] while I'm open to ShikamaruxTemari simply because I can see them playing the exact roles of Shikamaru's dad and mum 10-20 years down the line.

I don't think Hinata likes Naruto because of a teenage crush. She likes him because he has the courage and confidence that she does not. She is the weaker Hyuuga and Naruto was the weakest of the genin class, but he has become the strongest, giving her hope. So while she also has a crush, a lot of what she feels is genuine admiration and not just a teenage feeling of love.

You can't tell I'm a Naruto x Hinata fan, can you?

I also think they work well together, actually, think if they had a kid, Kage Bunshin teamed with Byakugan and Juuken (Naruto's taijutsu is stupidly weak when kage bunshin is used most of the time so this would fix that).

As for other pairings:
Sakura and Lee (she's lost her dislike of him)
Shikamaru and Temari (really the most likely coupling of the genin class)
Tenten and Neji, they're of similar mindsets and would fit well together.

Also, I don't believe Sakura is fighting to get Sasuke back because she wants to be with him, I think she has grown up in that regard, even if it hasn't been stated and with what she said to Sasuke when he left.

Actually who the indiviual characters would end up with would not always be the most likely character that you would think of them ending up with.For example while
Sakura may still have feelings for Sasuke it isn't too unlikely that she might in fact end up with Naruto has over the course of the series she has grudgingly begun to
show some respect and admiration for him.This comes from their close proximity as team-mates.
Likewise as Sasuke starts to show more and more of his dark side it is less likely that Sakura would want to be with him.

I don't really care for any of the pairings, but if I had to choose one it would be SakuraxSasuke, simply because after watching a biscuillon anime series I know it'll only happen in a fanfiction and Sakura is bound to end up with Naruto.

Let's not forget that Sakura,Naruto,et al are only 12 in the first series.I believe from what I read at Wikipedia by the time of the Shippuden series they're all around 15.
Ironically enough Jiriyia and Tsunade are the two I can relate to agewise!

Yes, there is a time jump, after which the characters are older. But pretty much everything I typed before applies anyway.

I completely agree with your point, based on my own personal experience, lol, but most of the crushes from that age are like Ino/Sakura's with Sasuke, not Hinata's crush on Naruto. They have a different basis and I believe Hinata's is based on something that will be a lot longer lasting. Most of the reason why crushes from early in life fail is because people change and are no longer the same as what you had a crush on. That is very possible to be true with Sasuke no longer being the "coolest" (as he certainly isn't the most popular person in general at Konoha) but I don't see Naruto ever not being the courageous/confident guy that he is.

Ack, I can't believe someone else actually supports Kabuto/Shizune. XDDD *always wished that would work* Although a recent manga chapter sort of smashed that idea into even smaller pieces. >_> stillll.

I do like Shizune/Genma as well, though.

But as for the pairings that actually make sense...
-Lee/Sakura. I still wish Sasuke/Sakura would work out, but I don't think it will. And I think Sakura will probably end up with Naruto anyway, which is a pity, because I don't care for that pairing all that much.
