Anime to return to Sci-Fi

I dunno. I think it's just mature enough that showing it on something like Miguzi would cause problems.

I agree that Bandai needs to get in on the AniMonday action. Ever sense Gundam SEED, Cartoon Network hasn't seemed to know what to do with a lot of their shows.

Sci Fi has a contract with Starz which is why they're only showing the
titles that are owned by Starz.

I say it before and I say it again,

Its really Manga Entertainment titles. Manga Entertainment is a subsidiary of Starz Media.

Though if you watch the opening of Virus Buster Serge it always has the Starz logo.I forget, but isn't Sci Fi connected in some way to Starz which is why they show the anime they own?

Yes, but Manga Entertainment is the one that has all of the licenses for those shows and is part of Starz Media. Which is why you see the logo on most the animes that have been showed on Sci Fi Channel.

If you look at page 5, is why we were talking about Bandai. Since Bandai and Manga Entertainment have work together in the past as one was the distributor and the other had the license to the anime.

And Sci Fi Channel is own by NBC Universal company and has no ties with Staz Media.

Just checked out ANN's review of Virus Buster Serge. We'll only have to put up with it for 6 more weeks. It has 12 episodes. Thank God!

I've had to miss the end of noien, because I got a job, so I don't know what happened after they were transported to La Crima.

You know, it was very pointless to air KARAS: The Revelation, if no one has seen the first three OVA eps of Karas: The Prophecy.

Yeah, while I enjoyed Karas:The Revelation I was pretty much confused over a lot of things in it yesterday. It's not exactly one of those stand alone movies or OVAs you can watch without seeing the original.

Next week, Street Fighter Alpha Generations will start playing. At least, according to Zap2it.

Also, next week marks the series finale of Noein. Any word on what show is going to replace it?

We will not know untill Sci Fi Channel puts out their Jan lineup.

In Dec, we only get two weeks of ani Monday and both of them will be movies.

Okay, a little bump and a note:

BLACKJACK (movie) will air this Monday and the Dec lineup for Sci Fi looks like this,

No anime on Dec 3rd

Perfect Blue will air on Dec 10th and Blood: The Last Vampire will air on the 17th.

No anime on Dec 24 or Dec 31.

According to the paper Mary Elizabeth McGlynn is one of the VAs featured in Black Jack tonight.
I can understand why there won't be any on December 24(Christmas Eve)and December 31(New Year's Eve)but what is up with December
3?

I gotta say, it's really starting to show that AniMonday is reaching a bit to come up with material. Nothing against these movies, but aside from Blood, they seem a little odd for The SciFi Channel (of course, half the stuff on SciFi seems out of place these days, but still...)

I must say Blackjack was pretty good last night. Way to mix anime, medical, and sci-fi themes all in one package.

I was quite impressed as well. I'd seen an episode or two of the Black Jack show before and wasn't terribly impressed, but this was pretty memorable (Okay, the plot was kind of unfocused, but still interesting)!

A few things to be noted about this movie.

The full name of the movie is Black Jack: Capital Transfer To Heian

Masayoshi Nishida did the art for the movie and was the key animation director for Metropolis.

The movie is related to Black Jack OVA that was done in 1993. The TV series is newer and non related to the movie or the OVA.

Question: How's the voice acting for Tactics?
As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. - Proverbs 23:7

The Sundries
Robin: "If we close our eyes, we can't see anything."
Batman: "A sound observation, Robin."

Wikipedia shows the V/A cast list...quite a few familiar names--

Vic Mignona (Hey, I'm working on it!)
Jessica Boone
Laura Bailey
Chris Patton
Blake Shepard
Luci Christian
Greg Ayres
John Gremilion
Rob Mungle
Cynthia Martinez
Monica Rial

The names in green are a part of a group I'm calling "The Anime Brat Pack"--a group of V/A's that often play in the same anime.

No one knows if they will replay it anytime soon. They still haven't aired Read or Die OVA, like they said. They may reply it after they show just about everything that Manga Entertainment has.

I wonder if they are ever gonna show blood: the last vampire.

That has been answered, but for anyone that miss it.
