So has anybody seen Gad Guard? It's currently part of Anime Unleashed. I've seen a few episodes and I'm not sure what to make of it. I can't even tell what age group it's aimed for. It has cloy little girl characters, a teenage boy hero with a mecha, a bad guy who swears a lot (...) and a woman who apparently forgot to put on a shirt to wear under her trenchcoat. It seems like it's trying to be too much at once to me. Anybody else have any thoughts?

I was suprised when i first saw Gad Guard too. The animation looked like one from Digimon, though the story line, characters, and language seemed more...Adult Swim like...?o_o
Anyway, after watching a few episodes, I got hooked on it. ^^ Great anime, though Anime Unleashed never played Gad guard past episode 14...-___-*
Katana swear a lot, yea...but there's always at least one in every anime...(well, except for anime that were made for the younger ones)
I like it, acctually. Depending on the length of the series, I may even but the DVD's...^^ And the opening theme song's really catchy...XP

Personally, my favorite chracter is Katana. Guys with trench coats rock.

Actually I found the opening theme annoying after a while. I never was into solely instrumental (particularly jazz) openings. Cowboy Bebop's jazz soundtrack is awesome, but Gad Guard's soundtrack made me groan.

I like this anime, though I do like mech anime in general.
