Hikaru no Go and Prince of Tennis new on Hulu

Postby TheSubtleDoctor » Wed Dec 23, 2009 3:33 pm

A couple of days ago, Viz began a new campaign of online streaming on their Youtube page and on Hulu. I am doing a little dance right now b/c HnG and PoT are available online legally! I can finally catch these purportedly great shows!!!

Interesting. I read Hikaro no Go a lot (until Shonen Jump stopped running it) I wonder how the anime stacks up to the original?

I heard that it was fantastic. People who don't go for shonen apparently still love HnG.

And the anime is great, too. Haven't seen all of it - it's rather massive - but what I have seen is wonderful. I'm hoping this means that Viz is going to actually finish releasing these series, now, and rerelease the ones that are out of circulation. I'd love to add both of them to my collection.

Oh, I was already watching The Prince of Tennis on VEOH. Maybe someday I'll buy the manga.
...you must begin a reading program immediately so that you may understand the crises of our age... Begin with the late Romans, including Boethius, of course. Then you should dip rather extensively into early Medieval. You may skip the Renaissance and the Enlightenment. That is mostly dangerous propaganda. Now that I think of it, you had better skip the Romantics and the Victorians too. For the contemporary period, you should study some selected comic books.
