Keroro Gunso -- safe?

Postby Momo-P » Sat Dec 15, 2007 6:14 am

Been watching it lately and really love it, but I thought I better ask...overall, is this anime pretty safe to watch? The Natsumi oggling and Fuyuki's occult club seem to be the only objectable content here, but I thought I better ask to make sure. ^^;

Also since Fuyuki's club confuses the HECK out of me, I'll also ask...even though it's called "occult", does his club really have anything to do with the occult? I know the technical defintion for occult is supernatural activity (which fits his alien and paranormal hang up), but usually occult is associated with witchcraft nowadays. Does he do anything like that? Cuz for the most part he doesn't seem to (though he did mention he could do magic to Momoka in the first episode), but...eh.

Just wanna get some answers. Otherwise I absolutely love this series, it's so cute and so much fun. XD

Yes! Keroro Gunso is safe. Its content is on par with Pani Poni Dash! I like Keroro Gunso as well, and the occult club? Well, it's just a little bit of a joke.

Usually, an "occult club" in school anime means the club is dealing with paranormal activity like ghosts and aliens, not anything to do with witchcraft.

The manga has some fanservice, but I believe they toned it down in the anime due to aiming it at a younger audience.

The manga likes to throw occasional nudity out there (with hands and other objects usually just barely covering certain bits) but other than that, it's fine. The anime, as previously mentioned, is a bit less risque, and it seems to me it also doesn't have quite as much dependency on knowing the culture.

Fuyuki's club is about INVESTIGATING, not PRACTICING. In other words, it's a journalism thing. It's not in his nature to actually participate.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.
