I think using the word stupidity is not right in this case. Adult Swim made a log error mistake.
There should be some praise to Kim Manning for talking to Bandai and getting the ep reaired.
I was absolutely shocked when they took it off of AS without a word to the public that they were going to do that. I know that it was Funimation that did it because of the liscense thing, but still I wish people would tell us when something won't come on and when it will.
Funimation had nothing to do with Detective Conan (aka: Case Close) being taken off the air.
Adult Swim sign a contract with Funimation for TV airing rights for the first 50 eps of the series. The ratings for Detective Conan were not that good and Adult Swim let the contract run out.
Only Animenewsnetwork.com reported the story about Adult Swim not renewing the contract and that was it.
After Adult Swim stop airing the series, Detective Conan was put on the Funimation channel and its still being aired on Funimation's tv channel.
