Just a Question about Thread Subscriptions...

Is there a limit to how many threads to which a person can be subscribed? I ask because I have about 518 thread subscriptions (o_o) and I'm wondering if I should do some serious pruning this afternoon. XD Thanks!

I have over 3000 currently, so I don't think you need to worry. There likely isn't a limit, though eventually they would be cumbersome on the database. We discussed making very old subscriptions expire, but I'm not sure if this was enacted.

The worst part is when you get the renewal notices for each subscription. $22.99 /year.

Actually, this can cause trouble in a specific very rare instance.

There's at least one user who's getting "digest" emails that are so long the databse croaks. I'll have to either upgrade the database or the server software to stop that. Unless you're getting digests over a long period of time, on a LOT of threads with a LOT of activity, it's probably not going to be an issue.

Ah, ok, thanks! I haven't had any problems like that in the past, but I went ahead and deleted some of the older subscriptions that I didn't need anymore anyways. XD Thanks for answering my question, though! :thumb:
