Gallery

Hey guys...I had this idea when I was thinking about posting pics in my gallery. Is there some way that a gallery similar to the one at MSN could be created, except with a way to add comments at the bottom (kind of like the one at Elfwood...I think, or the oekaki's format, except with our own jpegs) The reason I bring this up is because our current albums are entirely linear and it's hard for a person to comment on each pic individually and to keep the comments pertinent to one pic all together (plus you only have to load a pic you actually want to look at and read the comments for it). Anyhow, it's just an idea and not especially important, it would just be cool.

Thanks!

I wanted to install a gallery on the CAA website before it was publically advertised.

Trouble is, it's really hard to get a gallery hack working... you have to install some special programs on the server and do some configurations... it's all a bit complex. I certainly think it's possible though.... however nothing is guarranteed.

For the moment I'm waiting for vBulletin 3 to come out (should take a month or two) -- if we installed a gallery on our current forum software, it would be rendered obsolete by the new version of vBulletin, and so all my gallery installing efforts would be in vain.

edits to add: just checked out the vB site, apparently it should be in fact about a week or two... but things often change 'round there.
