When the Legends Die

Anyone ever read the book 'When Legends Die'? It was written by Hal Bordan in I think 1963.
It was assigned to us around October in my public school, and to be honest I didn't think I would like it. But after the first few chapters I was hooked! I'm amazed that I haven't heard anything about it before this.
The book is about a boy named Thomas Black Bull who is an Ute Indian, who is caught between the old ways and the new ways. It is pretty sad alot of the time, and there is excessive violence to horses in it. x.o But overall, a completely wonderful story that I would recommend to anyone who likes historic fiction.
