I'm so excited to have found this site!

My name is Anne. I started reading manga/watching anime over the past year to supplement my studies on Japanese culture and improve my (virtually non-existent, haha) language skills. I have a burden for the Japanese people, and have found using manga/anime is a great tool for cultural analysis as I seek to understand them more...

Because that's my focus, I really love slice-of-life stories, especially ones that are funny. I just got hooked on Kimi ni Todoki and am impatiently waiting for my local library to get the next volume...

That's funny. I just finished watching the first season of that anime for Kimi ni Todoke a few minutes ago. I haven't seen the manga at my friendly neighborhood bookstore, but it's one I'd consider buying.
