Getting to know me

Hello
I am new, still learning the ropes, Here are some short notes about me:
After attending college I travel a lot to different parts of the world as a missionary.
Then met my future husband (another missionary) in USA while we were both studing in a bible course.
We married and moved to a Latinamerican country to work there as missionaries.
We move back to the States two years ago.
I am not your typical american citizen since I am from an USA territory, a commonwealth
Questions welcome.

Thank you guys!
And Hello to all of you.
Aswering your questions:
What was it like working as a missionary? I love doing whatever is what God wants me to be doing at the time he wants me to. I really enjoyed that time of my life and if I have to do it again I will. I enjoy making friends and sharing God's word and message.
How did you discover anime and manga? When I was a kid I used to watch Mazinger Z, Candy and Space Captain Harlock, all in Spanish, so I do not know how old are those animes. Manga...I am really not sure, but it was this year. I watched Fruits Basket and then felt like there was something missing. I search in the internet and then I saw.... there is something called manga and that is where most anime comes from.
Do you have any favorite genres?
Romance, Adventure, Drama, Action, Comedy, Sci-Fi
Favorite..... pie?! Ha! I didn't say color.
Blue...berry
2.... Favorite color? :3
Blue
Have you ever been to any other countries besides the one you mentioned?
Yes, Brazil, Azerbaijan, Cuba, Domincan Republic, Salvador, Mexico, India, Haiti (but this one might not count, it was on the border, for one day).
4. Ice cream, or frozen custard?
Both taste so goooood.

Welcome to CAA, from your friendly neighbourhood ninja. Self-proclaimed title of course. I don't think anyone else recognizes it. Actually, it's the first time I've used that title.
So, do you like ninjas? XD

Yes, I do!
Maybe you know this quote from a funny anime: "Continuing To Protect For 400 Years"...
Also, I read Kagetora among other mangas.

So far I like it. I think I already made at least one friend.
I know it must be hard to communicate in written form, it is not possible to hear tones of voice and see body language, so many things a person writes can be misunderstood.
I think that is why we can "rub off the wrong way" exponential times.
But is really good when we can respect others opinions and be patient trying to understand each other.
I also hope I will like it here.
Thanks

1. I don't really go to amusement parks, just because it doesn't attracts me.
2. Anime characters?....It comes to mind Tohru Honda, Kenta Usui.
3&4. Restaurants & Food: Right now if going out to eat it would be wherever Sushi or/and Seafood is served, I really like it. I do not like fast food that much.
5. I have one sister and one half sister (dad's side).
6. No, I do not follow latest fashions on anything, but sometimes like to read about it if it is useful and try to wear what looks good on me (without looking coming out from the past, or the future)

Hello
I do not play videogames. My husband plays EA Sports Soccer games a lot (and RUSE) and I ussually prefer sitting close by reading manga. I just think I do not have many chances to try to play. But I like them.

Give me Star Wars anytime. Not a trekkie at all, I am not sure why.
I really like alternative reality (or history or universe), time traveling and other fun stuff like that.
Believe or not I have no clue of how to Roleplay.
I guess I still have not excercise my imagination to that level.
I would like to learn and try it one day.

It is kind of sad for me to admit that I have not read books or novels on those kind of subjects that I like. I am not into reading novels. I did not even know who was Mr. Turtledove.
Like 90% of what I enjoy using as entertainment are movies, short films, tv series, manga, cartoons, anime, comics. I lean towards that kind of media because I found it faster for me to get it, to be amused, entertain now that I live in USA. If it is something that I want to get deep on knowing I look for it in Spanish (which is my first language) or I read a book with illustrations, pictures, diagrams or I take my time (sometimes I can stall) reading it in English.
It is a blessing that I have a public library just across the street where I live.
You made think with your question. Maybe one day, when I am old and with a lot of time in my hand, I will get into novels

Right now I might be considered a "former missionary" since I am not anymore directly involved in any missionary activity. Probably some time in the future I will be able to do it again.

Thats very awesome, my wife and I are actually in the "terribly long and dragging" fundraising process to be missionaries!
