Hi there! I'm Narnian, and I'm a 19 year old anime fan and cosplayer. I started watching anime when I was 4 or 5, but I didn't really get into it until about 2008 or 2009. Sci-fi, slice of life, action/adventure, drama, fantasy, some comedy, and non horror suspense are my favorite genres. ARIA, Last Exile, Fullmetal Alchemist, Clannad, K-On!, most Studio Ghibli films, Gundam Seed, Advent Children, Appleseed, Lost Universe, and AD Police are some of my favorite animes.

I'm currently in college studying to be a physics, theater, and Biblical studies major. I love to chat and discuss various subjects from politics to anime to stem cell research to the latest computerized gadget. I can be very opinionated though I love to hear both sides to a story and enjoy a nice friendly mature debate over a cup of tea or coffee whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I joined this site to further my knowledge and love of anime with my fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord as well as meet Christians with similar interests. As a disclaimer since I have been called offensive before, I do not intend my posts to be offensive in anyway. I merely wish to make the reader think about his/her side of the debate and/or argument. I strive to create a safe, harmonious environment for all readers of my posts and/or topics. I hope to get along well here and meet a lot of awesome new people and make a bunch of new friends and comrades (in the traditional meaning; a fellow, a mate or companion; an associate in occupation or, in this case, interest).

- 4 or 5? wow, that's a while back. what did you watch then?
- *checking watched list*... Ghibli films... +:thumb:, Clannad... +:thumb:, wait Last Exile? I'm watching that right now. What are your thoughts on it?
- oh, yeah, on the subject: what's your favorite anime?
- physics, theatre, AND Bible studies? power to ya! three majors sounds like a lot of work
- debates over a cup of tea? *British accent* jolly good fun, I say, actually. mental exercise always a good thing.
anyone seen Nate around?

Thank you all for the warm welcomes. ^_^

Rocklobster, my favorite Narnia character is more like my favorite characters as I like Lucy, Edmund, Tirian, Jewel, and Susan (before she rejected Narnia). I like Aslan too, but that kinda goes without saying.

Goldenspines, it is an odd combination. Thank you for the wish. Luckily both the physics and theater departments are within the same college (college of arts and sciences). The Biblical studies is a separate degree that I hope to obtain so I can head my own ministry at church officially.

Masquerade, thank you!

ABlipinTime, yes it was a while ago. At that age I mainly watched Speed Racer, The Flying House, Astro Boy, and couple others...oh, what are their names...as well few TV shows such as the original Star Trek and a couple other shows of which I don't know the names, but those aren't really anime. I mainly watched whatever was on 4Kids, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and Adult Swim as a kid, up until about 13 or 14 when the cable magically disappeared. >_< Too much anime, not enough homework, and raised prices. Sad, sad times. I didn't pick anime up again until I was 16 and a half.
Last Exile was purely amazing. It was the first anime I watched when I started watching anime again. (Pardon my potential ramblings as I am very tired.) The character and plot development totally amazed me while the graphics stunned my senses. I couldn't get enough of the story and plot twists so much so that I spent an entire week mulling over the plot and scenarios (something I don't do very often). I loved how intriguing the entire story and setting was as well as the physics defying Vanships. It made me think very hard and long through most of the series until the last few episodes, in which case I cried a lot and thought some more. In short I loved it. I haven't seen it in at least two years so I don't remember a lot of my initial impressions other than, "Wow, this anime is amazing!" Do you have any specific questions?
Favorite animes are like eating grapes. You can't have just one. As of May 2011 my favorite animes are as follows: Aria the Animation, Last Exile, Fullmetal Alchemist, Howl's Moving Castle, K-On!, Clannad (entire series), Gundam Seed.
It is a lot of work. So far I've just been going through a few basic classes. I won't start studying my majors in depth until either next year or the year after.
Tea is amazing as it doesn't fry the brain quite as fast as coffee and calms the nerves simultaneously though coffee is purely amazing.

Aria fan?! YES! Welcome to the boards!

So, what's your favorite thing about college?
Do you also read manga?
Are you also fond of reading books? If so, do you have any favorites?

StarTrek original = excellent (but not always)

Last Exile = finished. I did a speed run through it (like those grapes), and I think I got everything, though you're welcome to pull out some random trivia and make me feel like I need to watch it again.

Vanships = What? There not physics defying!... ... ... well ok, at least not as much as StarTrek inertial dampers.

Thank you for the welcomes! ^_^

Atria, yay! It's great to find another ARIA fan. ^_^
My favorite this about college is being able to sleep in late most days. ^_^ I'm not a morning person.
I'm currently reading a few manga, but I'm not into manga as much as anime. I love to watch the stories play out more than read about them most of the time though it is kinda fun to see the differences between manga and anime.
I love to read books! Books are better than both anime and manga. I just wish that college didn't have so much reading for homework because by the time I'm done reading all my homework, I usually either don't have time to read another book or am too tired to do so. As for favorite book....hmmm, that's a hard one. The Bible is definitely my favorite book of all time, but I do like other books as well. Steven R. Lawhead, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, St. Augustine, and a bunch of others who's names are not coming to my head are my favorite authors. Crown Duel, Rouge's Home, The Last Battle, Daughter of Prophecy, In the Hall of the Dragon King, and around 50 others are on my favorites list.

Furen, thank you. It's actually Nagisa from Clannad, another really good anime.

Lilmonsterteeth, welcome too! ^_^

ABlipinTime, yeah, the original Star trek was really corny sometimes, but it was the best thing ever to my young brain.
Hmm...I'll have to think about it a bit more. Oh! Here's a good one!
What was the last thing Alex said before he died?
Technically they are to a certain extent. Yes, Star Trek does have the winning ticket of most physics defying machine between the two, but hopefully I'll be able to resolve that issue, or at least part of it, after I get my degree. I would love to be able to travel to Alpha Centari or farther and back before I die.

about STrek: corny, yes, but nonetheless entertaining

travel to Alpha Centauri: well........ Have you ever taken a course in Relativity?
