Seventh year press conference

Good evening.
On April 20, I will have finished my undergrad. On April 21, Madoka Magica episodes 11 and 12 will air. On May 2, Canada will elect its 41st Parliament. On May 3, I will have been on this forum for seven years.
In light of these times of great change and upheaval, I am holding a press conference and will be taking questions. Good and interesting questions that can be answered are highly preferred. Bad questions may result in less optimal answers.

While I can only stand to guess from time that I've known you, what exactly is the field of study you are graduating in and why did you choose it?
Congratulations, nonetheless.

I am doing a joint major in computer science and pure mathematics. I actually started out majoring in software engineering, but my first year had enough interesting math in it that it made me want to switch my major so I could do more math and theoretical computer science. Also, pure math (algebra in particular) and the theory of computation has a certain beauty to it to me.

Since you're probably the most knowledgeable person I know when it comes to anime, have you ever considered doing a podcast or anything else than simply being a consumer?
Also, I know this isn't what the thread is about but I want to say I think you're a really awesome guy. I really enjoy reading everything you write, no matter what it's really about. You put up with me when I was a dumb middle schooler, something I wouldn't want to put up with now. A lot of the stuff you've written has been really influential to me, and I enjoy what little conversation we've had.
Oh, I guess I have another question then. Will we see more regular updates on your blog?

I haven't really thought about doing a podcast, just because of the time commitment, but I have tried to blog, and in the past, I think I was doing pretty well. Clearly, that hasn't been the case recently, but yes, I'm hoping to get back to blogging now that I won't have anything to do for a few months.

According to the email of important information I received, the description on my diploma will read "Bachelor of Mathematics: Honours Computer Science and Honours Pure Mathematics".

I've done a bunch of internships, so I've delved a few times into the Real Worldâ„¢ but I didn't find it all that great, so I'm going to be retreating into the comforting bubble of academia to do grad school. Hopefully, I won't suck at it and I'll be able to stay there.

Robert Bringhurst and Ryukishi07.
I like to think that my tastes in anime are too varied to fall under a single type.
No.

Suppose you are given an array of salaries A and a budget B. Give an algorithm to find an appropriate cap C such that for all salaries A[i]≥] = C and the sum of all A[i] is equal to B.

As for Gundams, I'll go with Unicorn as it has so far been an amazing production in every possible aspect. After years of lacklustre AU series, it's nice to know that they can pull out all the stops and deliver a UC series with glorious modern sensibilities. Of course, it could fall off a cliff at the end, so my backup will be 08th MS Team, for being an excellent non-main storyline UC Gundam.
I do not do Star Trek, because Star Wars.

Pros: one of my economics profs said that Canada's defining characteristic is its moderation and boringness — while America tends to go wild over various things, Canada's all like, well that's kind of neat, maybe we'll do that]coffee crisp[/URL]
Cons: unless you live in Vancouver, the winter sucks; you will get gouged on internet and cell service
I don't really follow the NHL, but based on what I know from my non-Toronto friends, the Canucks, Habs, Flames, and maybe Sens manage to not perpetually suck as much as the Leafs, so I imagine one of them will be able to do it.

Probably

Not if you like going on the internet or staying warm.

Probably pretty much the same as in the States with the addition of Canadian channels.
┐(´~`;)┌
Final Fantasy VI, which coincidentally remains the only one that I've played to completion.
