Yes, after nearly seven years on the CAA boards, I've finally reached 2,000 posts. (Clearly I'm not much of a talker.) So in accordance with what seems to be the custom (or at least a recent trend), no longer shall the mind of Htom be shrouded in mystery. Feel free to ask any question and I'll answer.
Also, yes, I realize I forgot to put a close-parenthesis in the title.

Where does your user name come from?
What month were you born? (wondering if you're older than me)

1. [Copied/pasted from the "How did you Choose your user name?" thread] My SN, pronounced "Huh-Tom [not 'Aitch-Tom'] Servo", comes from a host segment in the Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode, Hamlet. In this segment, Tom Servo says he wishes to be called "Htom Sirveaux". Crow then says he's changing his name to "Cröe".
I used to be SpoonyBard, but I changed it because I felt it was too common, and anyway, although I liked the whole Engrish thing, I've never been a huge Final Fantasy fan.
2. My birthdate is June 18. So does that make me older or younger than you?

You beat me by a month and a half, old man.

If you were already financially set for life, what would you make your occupation?

If you had a mini bagel factory, where would you put it?
What is the best dance to perform with a flowering plant?
Can you fit in a grandfather clock?
What is the sound effect you make when you put on your socks?
Do you prefer the dictionary or a rubber duck?
Do fountains remind you of ceiling fans?
If I gave you a C4 cookie, what would you do with it?

@Winry:
1. Currently, it's Sgt. Frog.
2. In no particular order: Sergeant Keroro (Sgt. Frog), Dr. Kenzo Tenma (Monster) and Killy (BLAME!) are the first three to come to mind.
3. Pre-work coffee from Dunkin' Donuts. Occasionally a donut to go with it.
@Midori:
I'd probably still plan on studying psych to work in mental/behavioral health like I've been wanting to. Even being financially set for life probably wouldn't be a permanent cure for boredom.
@Auntie:
1. Do you mean a factory that makes miniature bagels, or a miniature factory that makes bagels? If it's the first, that's probably how I'd end up being financially set for life. I'd have a bank knocked down and build the factory on site. If it's the second, I'd put it in my closet so I could grab one every morning.
2. The Cabbage Patch, of course.
3. I've never tried. Maybe. The pendulum might keep knocking my head, though.
4. "Ploink."
5. I want a dictionary that floats and goes "Squeekee!" when I turn the pages.
6. They do now.
7. I'd play a practical joke on a rodent. Let it take the cookie back to its nest, then . . . Ka-BLAMMO!

1. Do you have a sonic screwdriver?
2. Besides Doctor Who, what other British shows do you like?
3. Favorite writers?
4. Favortie MST3K episode?

1. You know, I saw a Tenth Doctor cosplayer at Otakon who had one. It even had a little blue light at the end that flashed and went "weedyweedyweedy" when he pressed a button. I'd like to know how he made it or where he got it from, 'cause I totally want one.
2. I grew up on Monty Python's Flying Circus. Heck, I think the first time I saw Holy Grail, I wasn't yet ten years old. Never get tired of it. I also like The Mighty Boosh (which I was introduced to by my brother-in-law) and the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy six-episode miniseries.
3. My top two writers right now are Glen Cook (The Black Company) and Terry Pratchett (Discworld). I love Clive Barker's short stories, but can't take his full-length novels. Also, Mark Z. Danielewski's House of Leaves is one of my all-time favorites for its sheer brilliance and originality.
4. That's a tough call, really. But the first one that comes to mind is Werewolf.

1. Do you purchase rifftracks?
2. Who was the better host of MST3K--Mike or Joel?
3. Favorite color?
4. Favorite animal?

@Lynna:
1. Yes I did. It's my nickname for her.
@Furen:
1. Jump off a cliff and find out.
2. Does a bear defecate in the woods?
@rocklobster:
1. No, I don't. But once I get a laptop I can rent DVDs and play the commentary along with them.
2. I prefer Mike. I think he was funnier and more energetic.
3. My favorite color/colour is gray/grey.
4. Narwhals. Definitely. They're living proof of both God's bizarre sense of humor and His staggering competency as a Creator. It's like, "Let's take the template for a dolphin and just stick a big long horn on its face." It seems completely random, but it's actually very practical.

Got any favorite video games? (Besides Silent Hill, of course.)
Has anyone really been far as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
Should you really have to jump for joy?
What musical instruments do you play?

@rocklobster:
1. I read Fox Trot, Pearls Before Swine, and old Bloom County collections.
2. I read xkcd. I also watch the new Zero Punctuation video every week.
3. I've heard of The Nostalgia Critic before, but I haven't explored either one. Should check them out, maybe.
@Davidizer13:
1. Off the top of my head, Katamari; God of War; Resistence; Psychonauts; Beyond Good & Evil
2. You’ve got to be kidding me. I’ve been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It’s just common sense.
3. If you don't wanna jump, you can shout. If you don't wanna shout, you can clap. If you don't wanna clap, you can just lift your hands. It's all worship in the eyes of the Lord.
4. I play acoustic and electric guitar. And I can play the Doctor Who theme on bass.

@Rocklobster:
1. Ed Norton, Jeff Bridges, Vincent Price
2. If I may be allowed to bend that one a little, my least favorite Doctor is William Hartnell. I just don't dig the "grumpy old man" style.
3. Turlough during the Black Guardian trilogy. "WAAAH!! I DON'T WANNA KILL THE DOCTOR!!" Spaz. He mellowed out afterward, though.
4. My stillborn "uncle" Marvin. Without his death, there'd be no Ken (my dad) and, consequentially, no Josh.

3. Favorite classic rock band?
4. Did you ever watch Red Dwarf?
5. Do you support anything Ayn Rand preached? (I saw Atlas Shrugged on your shelf at Shelfari)

@rocklobster:
1. I never owned an NES myself, but I used to go over to a friend's house and we'd play his. Mario, Tetris, Double Dragon, Metroid . . . good stuff.
2. Apples to Apples. It's not as much competetive as it is just plain fun.
3. The Mothers of Invention. I love pretty much any Frank Zappa, but The Mothers' stuff is my favorite. Controlled chaos, that's what it is.
4. I've seen a little bit of it. Didn't really hold my interest. The thing is, normally I don't even like sci-fi.
5. I've tried twice to read Atlas Shrugged, and couldn't get anywhere near finished. I found Rand's writing style too annoyingly pretentious. So I never quite got her philosophy.
6. Fight Club the movie is pretty much Fight Club the book, minus a few scenes and with a different ending. They're both awesome.
@Selenite:
1. I suppose that would be Hersheypark. I've been there many times, as it's only about half an hour or so from my house. As theme parks go, it's relatively small (smaller than Disney or Universal, maybe Six Flags), but it's fun. I haven't gone in a long time, though.
2. Keroro from Sgt. Frog, Shounen Bat from Paranoia Agent, Simon from Gurren Lagann, Hakuoro from Utaware.
3. Denny's for great breakfasts, and a local place called The Summit for the best chili dogs around.
4. Baked oatmeal. Just had some this morning, in fact. That stuff is a warm, toasty square of happiness.
5. I have one sister, who is 14 months older than me.

1. Favorite commercial mascot?
2. Favorite sport?
3. What's so great about Discworld (forgive me, I've never read it, so this isn't meant to chop you down)?
4. Ever do your own version of MST3K?

1. The Geico Gecko. I'm sorry, but that little guy is so freakin' funny.
2. MMA, if it counts.
3. It's intelligent, goofball, Pythonesque social satire cleverly disguised as fantasy. Right up my alley.
4. Quite often. Sometimes I'll go and rent a really horrible movie just so I can sharpen my wits on it. And a lot of the classic Doctor Who is easy to heckle, which is one reason why I love it.
