Big's Q & A - Round Two, or: How I learned to stop worrying and love the CAA

Well, my last Q & A session was in May 2005, so I decided to have another go at this.

Very little has changed since the last time; I still live in South Africa, I still write on occasion, blah blah blah. Ask a question about me or about something in general and I will attempt an answer. I can not be held responsible for any affect any answer I have will have on your brain.

But before we start, here's a floating head.

Happy dreams, prospectors!

My favourite writers, off the top of my head, are Umberto Eco, R.A. Lafferty, CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien, Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Raymond Chandler, John Le Carré, Shusaku Endo, Robin Hobb and Terry Pratchett. I sort of like Dan Simmons too.

Nyala, Springbok, blue fin shark and warthog.

Yes. Though if you mean heading out into the untamed wild Serengeti-like world, dressed in khaki, armed with a gun, then no, I have not. That kind of Safari has not happened in 70 - 90 years, maybe. Here it involves driving around in a 4x4 vehicle in an enclosed reserve (National or Private) and hoping to spot a Kudu or a lion. To be honest, there are very few places in South Africa that can be described as "the wild".

Not really.

Do you read any web comics or manga?

Do you play any video games?

Why a floating head?

Thing you like most about your country?
Thing you like least about your country?

My finances does not allow for me to get a lot of manga, but I've read a lot of FMA but haven't reached the ending yet. As for webcomics, if Hark, a Vagrant counts, then yes. :)

I own an Xbox360. It calls to me in the middle of the night. It tells me to bake muffins. Not all voices tell me to kill. But yes, I do play some of the games on it whenever I can.

It's less unsettling than the dancing chicken. I also believe that any work of fiction can be improved by the addition of a floating head.

I did not personally go to a stadium or a fan-area. I'm not a big fan of soccer, but I did get into the spirit of things and blow my vuvuzela.

Johnny Cash is perhaps my favourite. Of the international bunch I like Queen, The Beatles, U2 (sorta), Placido Domingo (as tenor and conductor), The Seekers, Cat Stevens and Bob Dylan in small doses.

It's a toss-up between The Screwtape Letters and Till we have Faces.

The mountains.

Atria35 wrote:Thing you like least about your country?

I'm not going to answer that.

Well, I've been to England, so its either Russia or the United States. All of it. :)
